Before we dive into the latest updates on development, we have a quick announcement for you: Starting in August, our DevLogs will be published more frequently. At the same time, we’ll be restructuring the blog a bit so we can present the different areas of development in an even clearer way going forward.
This way, you’ll get regular updates on new features, models, and the latest progress from the development team.
But now, let’s take a look behind the scenes together!
Here we give an insight into the work of the artist or coder who created the respective asset.
With the PistenBully 800, we’re rounding out the line up of snow groomers in the WRS3. Alongside the well-known PistenBully 600, this will make the newest and most powerful model in the series available. Its longer undercarriage, powerful 6-cylinder engine, and extra-wide plow blade make it possible to efficiently move large amounts of snow and groom wide areas. In WRS3, the PistenBully 800 will, of course, be available to you both as a solo and winch variant.
“Working on the PistenBully flagship was an unparalleled experience. Its almost organic shapes were a really cool challenge that was definitely worth it in the end.” -- Willi
In this section we present particularly successful or challenging features and models.
After showing you the 6E98 chairs—with and without bubble—in a previous DevLog, you can now see the 6-person chairlift in action for the first time. The 6-person chairlift is one of the most commonly built modern cable car types and is particularly widespread in busy ski resorts.
Many of you are already familiar with our commitment to detailed implementation from WRS2. That’s why, with the Uni-G stations as well, we’ve taken into account not only their typical exterior shape but also the visible technical components and numerous smaller details. The result is a system that should feel familiar to experienced players while also offering newcomers a realistic insight into modern cable car technology.
Here we collect special content, experiments, and little surprises.
This month, we don’t have any new updates directly from the game to share here, but we do have a quick update about our Discord channel:
Starting now, dedicated channels for WRS3 are available there. Here, you can chat with other players about the game and its development, ask questions, and share your thoughts.
We look forward to your contributions and to chatting with you all!
Thank you for joining us on this journey. Feel free to leave us comments, share your thoughts on the official Discord channel or let us know what you'd like to see in the next logs.
Until next time at DevLog #10!
