Concepts

I'm happy to say the concept (and some splash) art of the Travelers is finished. With this we are able to wrap up the second race with all their models done on 2D and just a couple left on 3D.

Cutscenes

Work for the first cutscene is finished and will be included in the next playtest so now the missions you are able to play are chained by it and the story starts to take shape..

Gameplay

Pathfinding rework is complete. There are still odds and ends that we will keep iterating on but it is 90% there where we want it to be. Engine migration to UE 5.7 is underway and we expect there will be some friction that we'll need to work around, but this will let us use the latest tools and tech the engine has to offer. Lastly, blockout and internal playtests are underway for the Free-for-all (FFA) game mode. For now it will only be playable against 7 AIs in a similar way you would play a battle royale game, but the idea is that once it is stable in single-player, we will add multiplayer for it so you get a taste of how the main game mode is going to be played.

3D Art

Buildings for the Travelers are complete too and now pre-production for Ironfolk buildings has started. We re-iterated on the look of the concepts and we think we arrived at a great artstyle for this. Can't wait for you all to see it. In the meantime, we went a bit overboard with the lore and we created a full alphabet for the Travelers. This detail probably will go overlooked most of the times but for those of you that appreciate these kind of things, take a closer look at the Travelers buildings in-game and you will see these inscriptions carved in the surface.

There is no restrictions for this one so feel free to invite your friends over. On this playtest you can play with the Eldmen or the Travelers in the free-for-all game mode against 7 other players handled by the AI. The Eldmen are only missing two Commanders, while the Travele…Community1 Sep 2026Dev Update - SeptemberConcepts Following the Tower, we are now working on the next building concepts for the Ironfolk, our third race, focusing on the Extractor (similar to a Collector, to harvest Source) and the Royal Forge, which opens up the Tech Tree for the race. Like always, we are doing this new "metalpunk" identity we found very fitting for them. Needless to say, the top spins while harvesting Source near a…Community31 Jul 2026Dev Update - AugustConcepts Discovery for the Ironfolk's design language and mood has finished and we moved right into concepting a building. We came up with a style we like to call "Metalpunk" and here you can see the result in the Ironfolk Tower (at the right). We don't have a banana for reference, but we do have the Eldmen Tower so you can compare sizes. This is, of course, hand drawn by our concept artist on…
