I'm glad to announce a new playtest, the first one of our Alpha phase starting tomorrow, September 16th. There is no restrictions for this one so feel free to invite your friends over.
On this playtest you can play with the Eldmen or the Travelers in the free-for-all game mode against 7 other players handled by the AI. The Eldmen are only missing two Commanders, while the Travelers are missing two buildings, two units and two commanders as well.
You can also play the first two scenarios of the campaign and watch the first two cutscenes. You get only a glimpse to the commander bonuses system we implemented for the campaign but you'll get an idea of what we are going for.
Head over to our Discord server, ask in #general for a key and we'll get you one ASAP. Don't forget to fill out the feedback form so your valuable feedback doesn't get lost!
This playtest is going to be single player only and we expect it to be the last one before multiplayer gets fully integrated into the main branch.
Bear in mind this is an early, unfinished build, expect bugs, crashes and performance issues, especially if you are on a lower-end PC. We'll address most of these in the next playtest.
As mentioned before, the next playtest will be multiplayer where you will be able to play against other humans in an 8-player free-for-all RTS/Battle Royale game mode, happening in the first week of November.
After that, the next milestone will be the long awaited demo, expected to drop in the first week of December.
We'll need all the help we can get for getting Timefront ready for a wider audience through the demo. Give us your feedback, invite your friends to test and spread the word. Every little bit of help will push us to reach that milestone in good standing.
Thanks for your time and I hope to see you there!
Best,
Shula.
