This update significantly expands Command Vessel support and fixes several fleet, garrison, combat, and travel issues.

Command Vessel Integration

The Command Vessel is now treated much more consistently as a real ship across the game.

  • Command Vessels can now join regular garrison missions.

  • They can reinforce planets, moons, stations, and outposts.

  • They can be deployed to and recalled from station and outpost garrisons.

  • Command Vessel-only deployments and recalls are supported where applicable.

  • Station and outpost interfaces now display docked Command Vessels.

  • Allied garrison overviews now show attached Command Vessels.

  • Command Vessels count toward station and outpost garrison capacity.

  • Their cargo capacity, fuel usage, speed, research, modules, and commander bonuses are now included in relevant mission calculations.

Combat & Defense

  • A ready Command Vessel stationed at a planet, moon, station, or outpost now participates in its defense.

  • Command Vessels attached to allied defensive fleets participate in combat correctly.

  • Support has been added across normal attacks, raids, combined assaults, moon battles, outpost battles, station attacks, and station capture battles.

  • Each Command Vessel uses its actual owner’s research, modules, doctrines, and other combat bonuses.

  • Hull damage sustained in combat is now preserved correctly.

  • Destroyed Command Vessels enter recovery as expected.

  • A defensive mission remains active if its regular fleet is destroyed but its Command Vessel survives.

Station Battles

  • Command Vessels docked at stations can now be recalled normally.

  • A Command Vessel may launch a station attack directly from a station.

  • Allied Command Vessels can participate in station defense.

  • Command Vessels included in station defense consume Command Points and respect the existing defense limit.

  • Once committed to an active station capture, a Command Vessel cannot be withdrawn, refitted, or otherwise changed until the operation resolves.

  • If a station is captured, surviving Command Vessels belonging to the former defenders are evacuated.

  • Command Vessels attached to defensive fleets return with those fleets.

  • Destroyed Command Vessels enter recovery instead of remaining at the captured station.

Fleet Reliability

Several timing-related combat issues have been fixed:

  • Recalled ships are no longer restored by an older battle snapshot.

  • Damaged and repairable ships remain assigned to the correct dock or defensive mission.

Planet Abandonment

  • A stationary Command Vessel on an abandoned planet or one of its moons is evacuated to another owned planet.

  • If the Command Vessel is travelling or participating in an active mission, abandoning the planet is blocked.

  • This prevents Command Vessels from becoming stranded on planets later colonized by another player.

Travel Fixes

  • Transport missions launched from moons now correctly benefit from Transport Speed research.

  • Legacy asteroid fields and outposts with old orbital coordinates no longer produce extreme intra-system travel times.

  • Synthetic quest fields, including Bon Dor fields, now use valid local orbital distances.

Dead Space Convenience

  • When performing actions in Dead Space, the currently selected eligible planet is now automatically selected as the mission origin.

  • This applies to activities such as anomalies, debris collection, and similar operations.

  • Manual selection is still required when the current planet is not eligible for the selected mission.
