Rift Combat and Sealing Fixes ːsteamhappyː

Outposts and Depleted Asteroid Fields

  • Incoming outpost attacks are no longer automatically cancelled simply because the surrounding asteroid field becomes depleted and disappears.

  • If the original outpost remains at the same location, the attacking fleet can still reach it and resolve combat.

  • Fleets already stationed to defend the outpost remain associated with it after field depletion and can participate in its defense.

  • Attacks remain tied to their original target. They will not automatically switch to a replacement outpost or follow an outpost that has relocated.

  • Fixed related checks for vacation mode and outpost management so relevant active missions are still recognised after the asteroid field disappears.

  • Preserved the original target information for battle reports when the field itself no longer exists.

Colony Abandonment and Ark Projects

  • Fixed colonies remaining blocked from abandonment after their laboratory’s Ark Project had already been completed or cancelled.

  • Historical participation in an Ark Project no longer counts as an active commitment.

  • Laboratories committed to an announced or ongoing Ark Project still prevent abandonment.

  • All other colony-abandonment restrictions remain unchanged.

Covert Mining Missions

  • Covert mining missions now use the ordinary travel profile instead of strategic travel.

  • Their dispatch calculation now uses the same travel-profile rules as the corresponding estimate.

  • Covert mining no longer changes the travel estimates of other fleets by making an endpoint count as being under attack.

  • Ordinary attacks and raids continue to affect travel conditions as before.

NPC Combat Loss Reports

  • Fixed incorrect loss attribution when different NPC ship types shared the same internal combat classification.

  • Losses are now tracked separately for each actual ship type, preventing destroyed ships from being incorrectly grouped under another NPC ship’s name.

  • The correction applies to both total losses and per-round destruction records.

This is a loss-accounting correction. It does not change weapon damage, targeting priorities or rapid-fire rules, and it does not rewrite previously saved reports.

iOS Notification Sound

  • Fixed push notifications being sent without the standard iOS notification sound.

  • Notifications now request the default system sound.

  • Delivery and sound remain subject to your device’s notification permissions and sound/Focus settings.

  • Existing notification-category preferences remain respected.

Omniscience Array Description

  • Updated the research description to clarify its actual effect: partial visibility of every star system across the galaxy.

  • Full system details still require scouting.

  • Updated the description across all 26 supported languages.

This is a description correction, not a change to the research’s functionality.

Dev note: Guys, it seems that extracting data from the game and using scripts has gotten out of control. It’s no longer just about QoL improvements, it has become a real game balance issue. I’m going to start taking measures against this, so I apologize in advance if some of your tools stop working in the very near future. I understand that many of the community-made tools and additions are simply QoL features. However, I’m planning to add most of those features directly into the game by default.
