The PvP protection and alliance-war changes below apply to S0 and Beta only. NF retains its current PvP rules. The economy, ship, wormhole and galaxy-map changes apply across universes.
S0 receives score-based protection against attacks from substantially stronger players.
The maximum attacker-to-defender score ratio increases from 2:1 to 5:1.
The check uses each player’s overall score, not the size or strength of the fleet being sent.
The exact 5:1 boundary is allowed. For example, a player with 500,000 overall score can attack a player with 100,000; a player above 500,000 cannot, unless an exception applies.
Score protection does not apply:
To targets in Dead Space.
Between opposing alliances during an active official war.
When the attacker has an active personal retaliation right against the target.
The existing 24-hour retaliation rule remains: a substantially weaker player cannot attack a stronger player and then rely on the score gap to prevent a response. War preparation does not disable score protection. Existing shield, zone and anti-bashing restrictions remain in effect.
Newly declared wars have a 24-hour preparation period, followed by seven full days of active war.
After the war ends, the same two alliances cannot declare another war against each other for 14 days.
This cooldown prevents another war declaration; it is not blanket protection against ordinary attacks.
Wars declared before the update retain their existing preparation, end and cooldown times.
Each alliance can have up to five outgoing wars at the same time.
Wars declared against your alliance do not consume your outgoing slots.
The diplomacy panel displays your outgoing-war usage, such as 4/5 or 5/5.
At the limit, the Declare War button is disabled with an explanation.
These changes do not bring Beta’s other experimental mechanics to S0. S0 retains its existing combat system, alliance governance and fleet economy. Automatic alliance-war battles at asteroid fields remain unchanged on Beta and are not enabled on S0.
The planetary hydrogen-production bonus on gas giants increases from +100% to +300%.
Base Dreadnought cargo capacity increases from 600 to 1,500.
C4 encounters now use dedicated resource-reward tables, increasing Dark Matter and Quantum Dust rewards without changing lower-class wormholes.
Unexplored stars are slightly brighter and easier to distinguish.
Visibility has been improved on desktop and mobile, including simplified rendering at distant zoom levels.
This is a visual adjustment only: it does not reveal additional information about unexplored systems.
Added outgoing-war counters, limit explanations and related interface text in all 26 supported languages.
Updated gas giant production information across all advisor translations.
DEV NOTE: Gas giants were the last planet type that still needed some attention, and gas production on them has now been significantly increased. To make C4 wormholes more convenient to run, Dreadnought cargo capacity has been increased. Permanent servers also need some form of limitation on PvP attacks. I’ve studied similar games on the market and the history of how their rules evolved, and a 5:1 power ratio seems like the most appropriate option for now, although this is not a final solution. These are preliminary restrictions before the new permanent zone safety rules are introduced. A mining nerf of approximately 25% is planned for tomorrow. At the same time, the number of pirates in Dead Space will be reduced, which should significantly shorten the time it takes for a mining escort in DS to pay for itself.
