Two new games have arrived, and they are not on the store page. They are inside Project Chromata, launched from the main menu.VoidCrash is voxel automation in the void. Your drone ship is wrecked, the charts are incomplete, and no answer comes from the Engine. Mine, build machines that build machines, and learn to survive beyond where the charts end. It is an alpha playtest, so it has rough edges. I would rather you saw it early than polished and late. The Pixel is smaller and stranger. You are a living pixel down in the Engine's broken circuits, salvaging what the ones who came before left behind and raising cores of your own. It is not listed in the menu at first. You have to find it. The pixel represent the original idea for Stage 6.Both come free with Project Chromata, both keep their worlds in Steam Cloud, and both have a report button on F8 for new report gathering using Github issues. Press it. I read everything that comes through. There is also a home for all of it now at chromatacodex.comWhere the games, the novel, and a few physical things sit in one place.
I am just casually drinking from my all times favorite mug!
Thank you, as always, for being part of this.Nevertheless, the chromatic effort to make Project Chromata even better continues!
GLOBAL
Added: Two more games now live inside Project Chromata on Steam, launched from the main menu. See their own sections below.
Changed: Reporting a bug or an idea no longer needs a GitHub account. The report form asks for a title and a description, and nothing else is sent unless you tick the box to include diagnostics.
Added: Steam now shows which of the three games you are playing instead of only Project Chromata.
Added: Steam Cloud now carries your The Pixel and VoidCrash saves as well as your Chromata save, so they survive a reinstall or a new machine.
Added: A link to ChromataCodex.com in the main menu footer.
Improved: Localisation work continues, with much more of the game and the Continuum now shown in your language.
Fixed Bug: The main menu now says your story is complete instead of showing it as an in-progress Stage 10 save, on both the profile line and the button.
Changed: Partial resets you have not unlocked are now listed with the reason they are locked instead of being hidden.
Fixed Bug: The Discord button no longer covers the first letter of the pan hint on smaller windows. You don't have to 'Lick to Pan' anymore.
Added: A hard reset now offers to keep your Null Essence upgrades, if you have any.
Improved: High Yield now explains why its feeder nodes run above the minimum, in the mode hint and a new help topic.
THE PIXEL
Added: A second game, playable from the Chromata main menu once you have found it.
VOIDCRASH
Added: A third game, playable from the Chromata main menu.
VOID DIVE
Fixed Bug: Realms whose hazards move at their own speed are no longer far harder than the tier number says, so Temporal and Silent are winnable again.
Balance: Deep tiers now stop getting faster and get denser and more punishing instead, so they no longer thin out into free runs.
Fixed Bug: Dives launched from The Architecture no longer run at a low frame rate.
Fixed Bug: The Null Store's Void Dive button no longer stays on 'Close' after the dive has been closed.
VOID HUNT
Balance: Chaos Dampener now goes past level 5, up to -90% chaos count, with steeply rising costs.
CONTINUUM
Added: Continuum achievements now boost Null Essence gain and storage in the Story.
Added: era list shows the whole Echo era rotation, with the modifiers of every era you have lived through.
Fixed Bug: The Construct Lattice can now be finished, by weaving past a full Compression bar once the bar stops growing.
STAGE 3
Added: Explore Sweep, drag across the Fractured Void to explore many sectors at once.
Fixed Bug: Hovering an ethereal producer now shows its shard count and real rate instead of an unused tank reading 0 / capacity and 'No production'.
Thank you again for all the feedback, bug reports, and patience while I continue improving Project Chromata.
