Hey, Spacers!
A new Verse Project update is now live.
This patch improves ship landing and persistence, equipment synchronisation, network object visibility, and planetary performance, alongside several control, tutorial and visual fixes.
Here's what's changed in v0.0.7.458.
-Improved landing gear stability on slopes, uneven terrain and height differences
-Fixed prolonged sliding after landing with lateral velocity
-Adjusted the landing gear placement on Shuttle Bao
-General landing improvements also affect Corvette Badger, Corvette Harbin, Corvette Adalia and Shuttle Stylus
-Fixed sphere-shaped visual artifacts appearing in landing effects
-Fixed cargo and equipment data being lost after recalling a ship, leaving the game and returning
-Fixed ships not returning to storage after their owner disconnected and the hangar was released
-Improved synchronisation of installed ship modules, including simultaneous equipment changes
-Added the ability to collect resources from an extractor into another player's ship
-Fixed cargo capacity display in the ship inventory and extractor interface
-Added a separate setting for inverting the character's vertical camera movement
-Improved tutorial landing checks by verifying landing gear contact and allowing additional time for the landing to register
-Fixed an issue where character movement and controls could remain locked after spawning
-Fixed ships disappearing after the player exited them or nearby extractor information was updated
-Improved nearby object synchronisation, including a case where the first player joining after a server restart could miss visibility updates
-Reduced unnecessary network traffic
-Fixed geometry issues and incorrect signage in the recovery area on Hoster Station
-Increased the visibility range of small rocks on the Moon
-Reduced the performance cost of shadows, volumetric fog and visual effects
-Disabled motion blur and depth of field on Low and Medium settings, with simplified shadows on Low
-Improved the storage and reloading of planetary surface objects, allowing recently visited areas to reuse prepared data
-Fixed delays when loading medium and large environmental objects
