Weekly Friday Update #9

AFTER THE SILENCE · published 4 Sep 2026, 18:39 UTC

Greetings, traveler :)

It’s time for another small weekly After the Silence update.

This week, I’ve mostly been working on making the demo feel more complete and cohesive. And the biggest change is already available in the game:

The demo now has a proper little ending.

Of course, I’m not going to tell you what exactly happens or how to get there. It’s much more fun to discover it on your own.

I’ll only say one thing: don’t be too quick to leave when it feels like everything is already over. 👀

Besides that, quite a few smaller changes and fixes have made their way into the demo lately. I’m continuing to polish the UI, environmental interactions, localization, fix reported issues, and improve all those little details around the station.

A special thank you to everyone who has shared feedback after playing. I read your comments and messages, and some of the changes in the game are there specifically because of your suggestions.

With the ending now in place, the demo finally feels like what I wanted it to be: a small, self-contained piece of After the Silence that introduces you to its atmosphere, the station, and a little taste of what lies ahead.

So if you’ve already played the demo before, now might be a good time to return to the station one more time.

Thank you to everyone who downloaded the game, wishlisted After the Silence, left feedback, or simply continues to follow its development.

❤️ Brain Rampage ❤️

Community11 Sep 2026Weekly Friday Update #10On my end - I snapped and redid the map. Yep. Again. But now I’m finally happy with the result and can live in peace. Probably. On my wife’s end - we watched a TV show. You might be wondering what that has to do with game development. Well… everything 😂 While we were watching, she came up with a new idea for how the player will send reports to their employer . No spoilers for now, because we w…In-game event29 Aug 2026Weekly Friday Update #8First of all, there are already more than 200 of us! And that’s just insanely cool. Mind-blowing, honestly. I still don’t really understand how this is happening, but somehow it is 😄 Thank you to everyone who downloaded the demo, wishlisted the game, left a comment, or is simply following the development ❤️ Second - I’ve finally started working on setting up a Mac build as well, because, well……Community21 Aug 2026It's Alive! The After the Silence Demo Is Live! This week has been absolutely crazy. As it turns out, game optimization is a whole art form of its own, especially when you’re actually an animator and 3D modeler who once thought: “Well, how hard can making a game really be?” 😅 The visual side is doing great. In fact, the entire demo is only around 2 GB, which I’m honestly a little proud of. But code, logic, streaming, and performance turned…
