I made substantial changes to upgrades and mouse controls in the 1.0 patch, and I didn’t catch every edge case issue that cropped. There’s still some stuff I’m looking into, but these were the most pressing.
Balance
- Shock Bombs now start with 4 bombs, up from 3. The bombs travel slightly faster.
- Vulcanorb collisions now reduce the fuse timer by 0.5 seconds. It previously said 1 second, but it wasn’t activating properly.
QoL
- Kinetic upgrades now indicate they recharge with movement, without needing to access the synergy side bar.
Bug fixes for Upgrades
- Shock Bombs will now properly trigger Shrapnelizer
- Mine Field now properly spreads its bombs out around the originating beacon
- Double Down correctly goes on cooldown after activating its limited number of charges
Continuing to Update Mouse Controls
- Sub menu options such as pilots, ships, augments, and anomalies will now update their descriptions on mouse-over and not just mouse click. Note: You'll currently need to click into the pilot menu on startup before this works on pilots. I'll have a fix for this later.
- After selecting the quit button and then canceling in the main menu, clicking another sidebar button will not trigger the quit prompt again
- If you’re currently editing an option in settings with mouse controls, and select the sidebar without canceling, the edit will be canceled. The exception is during key rebinds. You must select a binding if the rebind option is currently active.
- When being prompted to confirm a choice such as purchasing an unlock or quitting the game, you will no longer be able to select other menu options until confirming or canceling. This could cause a variety of issues related to menu usability.
- The unlock prompt in the pilot and ship menus will now update correctly as you move to different locked/unlocked pilots/ships
