Patch Notes - New Perks, Enemy Telegraphs, Boss Updates, and Run Flow Improvements

New Features

  • Meteor Shower - New Fireball perk that calls meteors down on enemies in front of you.
  • Hellish Rebuke Rework - Now periodically emits an expanding ring of fire that damages, burns, and knocks back enemies.
  • Enemy Spawn Telegraphs - Regular ground enemies now display a synchronized warning effect before spawning, giving players time to react. Final bosses, bombers, and flying enemies retain their immediate spawn behavior.
  • Procedural Floor Completion Screen - Completed floors now show a dedicated summary before route selection, with options to continue the run or return to the Hub.
  • Fresh Mission Retry - Retrying a failed run now reloads the gameplay scene cleanly and resets run-scoped player state.
  • Procedural Route Shop Updates - Shop cards now show perk rarity, descriptions, prices, credit status, purchased state, and purchase feedback.
  • Route Shop Filtering - Operative skill upgrades are no longer offered in the route shop, keeping its inventory focused on run upgrades.
  • Quickdash - Added a dash-focused perk that reduces dash cooldown by 0.45 seconds per stack.

Combat and Enemy Updates

  • Brood Titan Quake Update - Added a directional rolling approach and leap-to-slam follow-up, with clearer telegraphs, improved obstacle handling, and updated attack timing.
  • Reactor Run Enemy Scaling - Enemy movement speed and attack timing can now be tuned per enemy and per run profile.
  • Directional Flanker Lunges - Flanker enemies can now commit to longer directional lunges with improved collision and impact handling.
  • Interceptor Dash Improvements - Improved dash collision, player hit detection, and dash stopping behavior.
  • Knockback and Projectile Impact Polish - Expanded knockback direction handling and improved projectile spawn positioning for ability and perk effects.
  • Speed Boost Movement Polish - Speed boosts now also improve movement acceleration and air-control response.
  • Spear Warden Tuning - Increased throw wind-up time and made retrieving the thrown spear more forgiving.

Bug Fixes and Polish

  • Improved enemy pathfinding around generated slime containers so their floor footprints properly block navigation.
  • Improved procedural shop controller and keyboard/controller navigation behavior.
  • Updated the Settings menu layout for better readability and added a visible build version.
  • Added a dedicated Exit Settings action and confirmation prompt before quitting the game.
  • Improved Settings menu controller navigation and modal focus handling.
