Day & Night
Hansa Forever's world now moves from sunrise to moonlight. This major update introduces a persistent day-and-night cycle across the Main Menu, WorldScene, and CityScene, while renewing convoys, city interfaces, ship interaction, production visuals, and Player-build reliability.
Thank you for continuing to share your feedback. Day & Night brings together a broad collection of systems and presentation work designed to make the Hanseatic world feel more alive, readable, and dependable.

A World That Changes With Time
- A persistent day-and-night cycle now continues naturally between the Main Menu, world map, and cities.
- Lighting, atmosphere, and the lower-left time wheel stay synchronized as the world moves through the day.
- Main Menu harbor presentation and scene navigation have been renewed to support the living-world presentation.
Renewed ConvoyPanel
- The live ConvoyPanel now uses its new authored parchment, brass, and iron presentation while preserving all existing ship-management behavior.
- The four approved ship and caravan categories remain visible. Caravan categories stay empty until the caravan gameplay system is introduced.
- Search supports ship names and localized city names, returning deterministic results across scenes.
- Selecting a ship in another scene safely loads the correct scene and moves the camera to that vessel using its stable identity.
- The list scrolls when needed, ensuring players can reach every owned ship even with larger fleets.
- Selection, clearing filters, repeated clicks, closing, Escape, reopening, and scene-transition behavior have been stabilized.
Cities, Government & Guild Life
- Town Hall Missions and Guild Missions remain independent systems with their own eligibility, progression, and active-mission limits.
- Town Hall government, elections, treasury, taxation, patrol, missions, and city projects now have clearer live presentation and persistent state.
- Guild tasks, Alderman elections, standings, statistics, privileges, and annual Measures have received further interface and reliability improvements.
- Church, Shipyard, Ledger House, Architect, Options, pause, and other city panels now use transparent input blockers instead of unwanted dark rectangles.
- Modal panels consistently block world and camera input without obscuring the scene behind them.
Ships & City Interaction
- Clicking outside a selected AI ship now clears the selection in CityScene.
- Players can select another ship directly without leaving and re-entering the city scene.
- ShipPanel now uses its dedicated Pinnace, Frigate, and Cog illustrations instead of reusing Shipyard construction artwork.
- Cross-scene ship focus, camera movement, missing-ship handling, and loading failures now resolve without leaving the panel or camera in a broken state.
Visual & Interface Improvements
- Missing or incompatible production-building materials that appeared pink, white, or untextured have been repaired across the affected city content.
- Rostock's environment, trees, water, roads, production areas, and city presentation received additional visual cleanup.
- Panel scaling, close controls, transparent backgrounds, selection highlights, cursor ownership, and loading feedback have been made more consistent.
- The new ConvoyPanel, renewed menus, and building panels retain safe viewport placement and reliable Escape behavior.
Performance, Saving & Player Reliability
- Scene transitions, loading-cursor ownership, and camera restoration have been hardened to prevent duplicate cursors and broken input states.
- Docked ships use staged initialization, while off-screen pedestrian and city work has been reduced for smoother play.
- Save and load support has been reinforced for the new governance, Guild, mission, option, and stable ship-identity data.
- Additional Player-build validation protects scene, prefab, artwork, localization, and runtime references in the distributed Windows/Steam build.
Thank you for helping Hansa Forever grow. We hope you enjoy watching the Hanseatic world change from day to night.
