Greetings Mercs!
I've been play testing and gathering player reports since the recent release of 1.2. This patch addresses several balance issues, fixes a few important bugs, and adds a bit of new content.
Reworked the skill to select a random target if the primary target is eliminated.
Previously, remaining pumps would be lost on a killing shot.
Added a visual effect on mercs triggering Pump Action to show the rolled pumps.
Aimed Shot can now be gained by scoring a ranged critical hit.
All sniper rifles, bows, and crossbows have been updated to reflect the mechanic.
New effect: while Aimed Shot is active, ranged attacks no longer miss.
Existing mechanic of skipping a turn to gain Aimed Shot has not been changed.
Quick reminder, the damage range of Aimed Shot is increased by upgrading the quality (color) of the weapon and its item level (using Lab-Armory points).
The damage bonus from Deadly Force now also applies to Martial Arts.
Reworked 4 Dojo ability icons to make them stand out from the Martial Arts cards. This should make it much easier to spot upgrades after triggering Dojo combos.
Added a new button to sell all food and drinks, excluding the ones equipped on mercs.
Missed shots with AR and SMG could result in overlapping animations and sound effects. This has been tuned for a smoother feel on rapid firing guns.
MG had a similar issue and was already tuned in build 1.2.25.
No longer triggers by Aimed Shot.
Changed to trigger by a scoped sniper or crossbow shot which deals 2x damage.
Changed to grant +1 XP for killing with Martial Arts instead of unarmed attacks.
Added 6 new trash item cards.
Added 18 new valuables, randomly found during missions.
Refreshed 12 old loot cards with new artwork.
Metal Detector gadget now drops additional metallic valuables.
SMG, AR, and Pistol attacks fail to re-target on a killing blow, wasting shots (rare bug).
Ramon with 6/6 intel can fail to discover new mercs, before all available mercs are found.
Sniper character Jack does not trigger explosions on Gas Looter enemies.
Sniper character Shadow does not trigger explosions on Gas Looter enemies.
Horde missions are not affected by Aftermath scaling, making them too easy.
Note: This bug only affected hordes while playing Aftermath.
I'm still looking to improve the blunt/sharp melee weapon damage scaling of mid-to-late stages of the campaign. I have some ideas, but not ready to share just yet. Besides that, I'm also planning to add new assignments, new bonus encounters (to existing locations) and keep tuning the game with the help of your feedback.
Thanks for all the great reports!
