Not Quite Dead: Open World Survival · published

Hey Survivors!
Here’s another small update with a few fixes and quality-of-life improvements based on your feedback.
☠️ New Difficulty Option: Keep Items on Death
You can now choose an option that prevents your items from dropping when you die.
⌨️ Added a Reset Button to Input Settings
You can now quickly restore your keybinds to their default values.
🚗 Fixed Zombie Brick Walls When Hit by Vehicles
Vehicle collisions with certain zombie brick walls should now behave much better.
👀 Improved View Distance at the Prison and Dock
Objects and environments should now remain visible from farther away.
✈️ Improved Airdrop Visibility Distance
Airdrops should now be easier to see and track from farther away.
🔊 Reduced Vehicle Crash Sound Volume
Car crash sounds were a little too loud before.
They should now be much more comfortable.
📜 Quest Menu Can Be Disabled
If you don’t want the quest interface displayed, you can now go into the Quest section and disable it.
Before I move fully into the next major update, I’m planning one more smaller update focused on:
I know the camera can sometimes behave awkwardly around walls, objects, and tight spaces.
I want to improve that before moving on to the next major part of the map.
After that, the focus will shift to something much bigger…
The Wasteland will mark the beginning of the next major section of the world.
This will not just be new land.
I’m planning to bring a lot of improvements, fixes, content, and changes alongside it.
I’ll share more details soon about what you can expect from The Wasteland and the future of Not Quite Dead.
I’m continuing to read your reviews, Discord feedback, and bug reports every day.
If something doesn’t feel good enough, keep telling me. Your feedback is directly helping me decide what to improve next.
Thank you again for supporting Not Quite Dead during Early Access. ❤️
Camera Collision Update first.
Then… The Wasteland. More information on wasteland and QOL coming.
