Development progressed very well again this week.
-In-game stats on your progress
-A timeline section that will note the big discoveries you've made in-game
-A very cool "Unlocked Endings" section. Sinking Eternity will have multiple endings based on the actions you complete. You will be able to see your current ending at any time to find out what would happen to the main character and each companion if you ended your journey at that specific point. I think it will be a very cool and pretty unique feature.
-Improved the level design of many biomes
-Improved how shadows look on the two starting islands. This ended up being a great visual improvement
-Improved the Crafting Station model
-Improved the bed model (this one looks much better)
-Improved a lot of in-game icons
-Finalized the code to integrate a compass in-game (unlocked through a quest)
-Enabled the use of the gamepad bumpers/triggers to switch between the main menu tabs
-Updated the endings for several game characters.
-Reorganized the Crafting Station menu to show the dive suit section first
-Made the top of the larger island flatter to make it easier to place early buildings
-Added clearable areas on the starting islands to increase the space available for new buildings/structures
-Added a very important feature: the ability to pet the small creature (once you manage to make it come out of its burrow)
-Improved how the Unlimited Air accessibility feature works to limit its accessible depths based on your equipment level. This makes sure the feature works properly while also ensuring that players who use it still progress through the standard storyline
-Improved smaller sound effects throughout the game (like switching between log pages, placing buildings, etc.)
-Added an option to show remaining air as time instead of a percentage in the top UI
-Removed the dot from the depth number, to show it as 100 m / 328 ft (instead of 100 m. / 328 ft.)
-Improved the bonuses provided by different skills (like Engineering, Exploration, Marine Biology, etc.).
-Bug fix: Enabled opening the inventory while taking certain types of continuous damage.
Also, did you know that you can choose your preferred unit for depth measurements in the options menu (meters, feet, or light years)? I thought people could find the last one funny, as your in-game depth can be shown as either 100 meters, 328 feet, or 0.0000000000000106 light years.
(27 days until launch!)
