Hi everyone!
We have some absolutely massive news to kick off this week's update. We officially signed a publishing deal! Planet No More will now be published in partnership with Rogue Duck Interactive and GamerSky Games, so we couldn't be more excited about this milestone. This is a huge step forward for our tiny team, and we genuinely can't wait for you to see how this partnership elevates the game.
Beyond the headline news, development has been rolling forward at full speed. With the entire comet system now finalized, we've shifted our focus to implementing the game's full economy system, specifically the multiple currency types that will drive your progression. We also dropped a brand new heavy-duty ship into the mix.
Here is a look at what we've done this week:
We officially partnered with Rogue Duck Interactive and GamerSky Games as our publisher! This is a massive milestone for us as a small indie team, and we are beyond thrilled for what's ahead.
With all comet types and their upgrades now fully complete, we've moved on to implementing the game's multi-currency economy. To give you a proper breakdown of how it works, here's a quick overview of the two currencies already present in the demo:
Scrap is your primary resource. When you damage a celestial body, every destroyed pixel generates Scrap based on its Scrap Value, plus a flat Scrap Guarantee bonus on top. You'll spend Scrap on ship upgrades and economy upgrades.
Core is your progression key. You earn exactly 1 Core each time you completely destroy a celestial body, and it's exclusively used to unlock the next tier of celestial bodies.
We're currently designing 2 additional currencies that will add entirely new layers to the economy. We'll go into full detail on those in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
Say hello to the Big Bazooka! Just like the Big Blaster before it, this is a massive, beefed-up evolution of your standard Bazooka ship. It's BIGGER, it's meaner, and it fires multiple projectiles in a single burst. The multi-shot count will most likely be fully upgradable as well. I'll show some visuals next week!
Next week, we'll be diving deep into the new currency systems and continuing to expand the ship roster. As for which ship is next... well, if you've been paying attention to the pattern, you can probably guess what's coming.
If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. Every single wishlist helps us with visibility and keeps the momentum going!
Thanks for following our journey. See you next time!
