Planet No More Weekly Devlog #1

Hi everyone!

It’s been an exciting week for Planet No More. Since opening our Steam page, we’ve been hard at work getting the first playable demo ready. Here is a look at what’s been happening behind the scenes.

UI & Visual Overhaul

  • We have almost entirely redesigned the UI. The Upgrade Tree page has been completely reimagined. I've added a GIF below just for y'all.

  • We’ve gone back to the drawing board for nearly all celestial objects. They’ve been reforged and they all look so good... (imma show them in the next log)

Bug Fixes & "Technical Debt"

  • Fixed a mistake where several variables were named change instead of chance. (It was my bad...)

  • Resolved a bug where random event effects would stubbornly remain active even after their duration ended.

  • Fixed an issue where the "End Turn" panel would occasionally fail to trigger once your fuel was depleted.

Our main focus right now is the Itch.io demo release planned for later this month. To make sure it feels as balanced as possible, we are launching a local environment playtest this week.

We’ll be gathering direct feedback from these early testers to enhance the balancing and polish the game for the demo. Once we’ve integrated those insights, the demo will be officially ready for its Itch.io debut!

If you haven't yet, please add Planet No More to your Steam Wishlist. It helps us tremendously with visibility!

Thanks for following our journey. See you next time!

As promised last week, we've officially started building out the new currency systems that will add deeper layers to Planet No More's economy. The first one is now fully functional, and it's designed specifically around your most direct tool: the cursor itself.
