Patch notes: a week of balance, clarity and fixes

Ruthless Returns · published · build 25124697

Small updates, every few days

Alongside the big language update, the past week brought a steady stream of improvements. The highlights:

  • The client raid doubled. Surplus salespeople now steal 1M income per rival (up from 0.5M), the Solar farm pays extra per investment card you own, and a card-count bug in 4-player decks was fixed.
  • A clearer economy panel. Tax has its own row, the client raid shows as its own line instead of hiding inside Income, and the Legal and Political Influence tracks now show what they pay per step.
  • A better bidding round. The public tender screen shows every rival's cash and prequalification, warns you before you bid without placing your influence, and jumps straight from bids to the verdict.
  • Reduced graphics mode. A new toggle in Settings turns off the heavy effects for smoother play on weak machines. The game offers it automatically if it detects stutter.
  • Sharper cards and calmer hands. Card text renders crisper, and the hand only rises above the side panels when a card actually overlaps them, so your scales stay readable.
  • Multiplayer fixes. A lobby error message that hit almost every session is gone, and guests no longer lose the year-end screen mid-settlement.
  • Lots of small things. The Stock Speculator shows what the short position is currently worth, sales cards show how many salespeople you already have, disconnects offer a way back to the main menu, and wording is now consistent across the whole game.
