It’s already early August, and it’s been a long time since I last spoke with you.
As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve found a job, which allows me to continue working on ForHumanity, even though I have less time to develop the project.
So I’ve updated the Roadmap to make my updates lighter and, if possible, more regular.
I’ll also try to resume posting updates, but at a rate of one per month rather than two.
So for July, I’ve made progress on the weapons update, which brings a host of new calibers and weapons—such as shotguns and sniper rifles—as well as more variations within existing calibers. I’m also taking this opportunity to polish the animations and weapon behavior; several animation and synchronization issues have already been fixed. After a few battles with Unity’s animation system, I’ve made enough progress to tell you that:
The update should arrive in the first half of August.
Next, I’ll tackle the equipment update, which will most likely include the addition of ballistic protection (which will come in very handy as things progress 😏).
Until then, take care, and feel free to join the Discord channel, where I post more regularly than here.
See you later!
