Jam packed with over a dozen fighters reimagined from beloved public domain IP—plus even more stages, rollback netcode, and three fun-filled single-player modes—Royalty Free-For-All is a no-brainer! Especially at its Steam launch discount price of roughly $7.99!
On Monday, August 10, we will release a new Feature Presentation, refreshing the world on the joys of Royalty Free-For-All and revealing the last piece of content expected to join our game.
In the meantime, available now, Kickstarter backers will receive a new update patch which addresses the lion’s share of both bugs and feedback reported during this past month of playtesting. As always, please remember to capture any replays you’d like to save permanently, as they will not be compatible with this latest update.
For the broader public, there is a FREE DEMO available now on our Steam page featuring a small sample of four fighters and two stages available in both online and offline play. This demo features a sneak peek at a new feature not yet available in the backer build: Shield Stun. We hope everyone and their mother enjoys this opportunity to get some free practice in before launch.
PLEASE NOTE: Users of both game builds might need to head to the DATA tab in settings and wipe your memory if you played an older public demo build in the past. Changes to our settings infrastructure are prone to crash when using outdated save files. Also unfortunately, the Mac and Linux versions of both are currently experiencing a few bugs that should be resolved by this time tomorrow. We ask users on these platforms to remain patient while we address the cause.
Kickstarter backers who chose Steam as your platform of delivery can expect to receive all your Steam keys via email on Monday August 10th. You’ll be able to redeem them then, but they won’t activate your product until launchtime the following day. Digital rewards including Art Book, Instruction Booklet, Soundtrack, and Wallpapers, are expected to arrive on time this Fall. Anyone who chose a home console as your delivery platform of choice, we know you know what a Herculean undertaking it entails, and we thank you for your patience as with this current epoch. That said, we understand FOMO! So please don’t be afraid to message us on Kickstarter if you’d like to update your preferences and receive Steam launch keys instead.
To anyone out there who has yet to discover their Bonus Key delivered last month, please be sure to search your inbox AND spam folder for sender Krysta Yang. You’ll want to greenlight her through your spam filter for the smoothest experience receiving digital reward distributions, including launch keys, down the line.
That’s all fo—errr, for now!
