Natural enemy spawn changes:
- 2d hallucinations of enemies regularly spawn all over the world. Approaching a hallucination will transform it into a real version of that enemy.
- In general, hallucinations should give the player more control over enemy encounters, as you can actively seek the enemies you want to fight. It also adds a lot to the ambience, as you can now see the world be populated by enemies even from afar.
- The old spawn system is still present, but on a slower cooldown; creating less frequent bursts of action. Smaller areas which do not benefit too well from the hallucinations, such as the starter shrine and volcano underground, now speed up its cooldown.
Enemy changes:
Iron Turret & Steel Turret
- Renamed to Assault Sentinel & Sniper Sentinel.
- New models.
- Horizontal and Vertical aiming are now separated, with assaults rotating faster horizontally and snipers vertically.
Treader & Neo Treader
- New models.
- Can now aim vertically towards you.
Rang Bot & Yoyo Bot
- Added ragdoll.
- Attacks properly get cancelled upon dying, with the yoyo string snapping just like when you swap away from Yoyo weapons.
Living Breeze
- New model & material. This change also affects certain boss attacks which used similar wind effects.
- Now create an explosion of sand particles upon dying.
Shell, Knight, Bishop and Tank
- No longer have ragdolls.
- Now create an explosion of anomaly particles upon dying.
Thunder Bird
- Added ragdoll.
- A ring of electricity particles converge on it before attacking, just like the Lightning Rod's effect.
Sarcophagunner
- Checks 5 positions before deciding where it wants to teleport to, to avoid standing on trees or bones.
Defense System
- Takes 20% more damage while wet, because why not?
Other changes:
- Mortar deals 60% less self-damage, so 50 by default like the other rocket launchers used in its recipe.
- Improved visibility of the lines going up from benches.
- Added 3 more main elevators up to the pyramids, and they are now cylinders which continuously grant you the floating effect while in them.
- New pyramid elevator materials.
