Hello, good evening to all!

Here is the 2nd update of For Humanity and the first to add so much content!

This update therefore integrates the day-night cycle which brings a whole new lighting and different AI behaviors depending on the times of the day.

This system will most likely evolve into a more complete system including seasons, but it is still to be prototyped.

I took the opportunity to add new equipment with the arrival of a new calibre, the 5.56x45, and the weapon that goes with it. It’s not much but it will allow me to add even more diversity on the next updates.

Of course, this update also adds the new area of the Docks, an area very dense in zombies but brought a unique quality of loots. It is also the scene of the new grid of quests exclusively at night!

By the way, I added QoL on several elements and obviously many fixes.

I hope you will like all this, the game will be on sale at -25% for 1 week for the occasion.

I leave you with the patch note, we’ll meet no later than mid-March for the 0.3 and probably before with intermediate updates.

Features:

- Add a new entity spawn system allowing spawning across the entire map, base on density zones.

- Add a melee weapon, allowing you to kill zombies without making any noise. It does not disappear when the player dies.

- Add the new “Docks” area.

- Added day/night cycle (visual and logical).

- Add new night quests.

- Added 5.56x45 caliber weapons, as well as a new weapon and equipment.

- Modification of Zombie behavior during the night.

- Added the Map tab to the player menu, which displays the map and the in-game time.

- Add several SFX missing on certain actions.

- Add several missing animations for certain actions.

- Render Pipeline Change for URP.

Fix:

- Fix the display of quests that do not create a scroll view.

- Fix several synchronization errors with quests.

- Fix a nullref preventing the camp from loading.

- Fix items stored in inventories stored themselves in inventories..., not visible for crafts.

- Fix the loss of the rest of the stack when dragging and dropping one stack onto another and the rest has no place to be placed.

- Reduced zombie spawn errors.

QoL:

- Add more quest's rewards feedbacks.

- Improvement of firearm lamps to make them more useful.

- Changed the distribution of zombies to increase the difficulty, especially at night.

- Change to the ‘Reflex’ sight reticle for greater accuracy.

- Added several tips to the camp survival guide.

Know issues:

- some of the bug reports could not be reproduced, do not hesitate to send reports if necessary.

(Several security features have nevertheless been added to reduce the chances of reproduction and/or correct the bug.)

Planning:

- The next step will be version 0.3, which will add merchants with trading and new NPCs.

But between now and then, there will be other updates, including, I hope, the new character animation system.

It’s already early August, and it’s been a long time since I last spoke with you. As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve found a job, which allows me to continue working on ForHumanity, even though I have less time to develop the project. So I’ve updated the Roadmap to make my updates lighter and, if possible, more regular. I’ll also try to resume posting updates, but…
