Introduction. Development difficulties. Hey, everyone. It's been a while. We usually do devlogs nearly every month, but this time I expected to make a devlog at the end of summer showcasing lots of progress that would've been made. But unfortunately the promised complete "lock-in" in development wasn't as successful as I wished. Everyone is human, that includes me, and I've been having issues w…

May Devlog. Corruptors, Grabs, Phone and Fish Gun.
Introduction. Greetings to all of you. Here's another SourceWorld devlog right before the summer starts. Past month has been pretty rough for those working on this project. And yet here we are with another devlog, albeit not as big as previous one. Let's get into stuff that was added into the game. Although keep in mind that this devlog is just a teeny-tiny bit rushed, so lots of stuff shown is…

Introduction Hello everyone, this is yet another devlog, pretty much just a month since last one. New Returning enemies HECU Those of you who played the old ModDB demo of SourceWorld long time ago can remember the HECU type enemies. They had to be temporaril…

Winter Progress Hello everyone. In this DevLog we want to share our development progress that we accomplished over the course of past two months. We were working on refining SourceWorld's Level Design for most part, besides that we did a lot of small extra work on various parts of the game. Level Design Overhauls Original Hub levels had poor detalization and geometry in some spaces, so we've be…
Year 2025 has been a kind year for us, we’ve made great advancements in regard to SourceWorld’s development, but first, I want to begin by expressing our gratitude to those who joined along us this journey, donators and new developers of Bronco Development, it is hard to believe that we started this project as a duo, but this year we acquired 2 new developers for this project: slayer2704 - Over…
Summer Progress Hello everyone, we wanted to thank everybody who gave our demo a try so far. After its release we've been slowly making progress in finishing up core mechanics of the game. This article's purpose is to share the progress we've made, as there possibly won't be much of it during following months. We also don't want to update the current demo version, because we don't want to make…

Pistol Justice Update
This another small update intends to shift the difficulty balance towards player ever so slightly. Changelog: · Fixed crosshair naming of some objects which had it incorrectly · Buffed pistols damage from 4 to 5, also slightly increased firerate of dual pistols. (Having damage lower than their vanilla counterpart was an unintended behavior which made pistols very pale unless players are precise…

Pre-Next-Fest Update
This relatively small update adds few features which were requested the most along with few balance tweaks and minor QoL improvements. (This provides much more space for players to sell their items.) · Item sell cost multiplier was changed from 40% to 20% for weapons and 50% for everythi…
Hello everyone! It's been some time since the last update on SourceWorld, but we've come back in full force since the last demo, the first demo we released as most know was in August 2024 and we've received a lot of feedback, whenever it be players or content creators, whenever the map generator itself was a bit stiff at the time, or had barely anything to offer, or the city being too bland and…
Hello everyone! We've returned back after 3 months of silence and with a lot of progress and great news too. Steam Page We have finally managed to get the SourceWorld Steam store page up and running, it took us a lot of set up and filling up e-documents but it all paid off in the end. We've set up the basics on it and a thread in discussions where you can ask us whatever you want if you have qu…
