Greetings to all of you. Here's another SourceWorld devlog right before the summer starts.
Past month has been pretty rough for those working on this project. And yet here we are with another devlog, albeit not as big as previous one.
Let's get into stuff that was added into the game. Although keep in mind that this devlog is just a teeny-tiny bit rushed, so lots of stuff shown is still WIP.

"They come from ancient worlds that were left empty for decades. Without human inhabitants, these worlds turned corrupt, thus becoming alive and displeased with lively worlds around them, wanting to infect everything that hasn't turned into pink&black rot."
"Corruptors aren't humanoids, but some particular ones were made to mimic humans."
New enemy type is a humanoid, but don't be fooled thinking they'll be simple reskins of existing HL2 enemy.
Corruptor Agents use primarily melee attacks. They are an agressive enemy that act unpredictably compared to the rest of hl2 enemies.

Their chase AI(formerly based on Metrocop's) was drastically changed. During chase, they will attempt to get ahead of their target, "predicting" their movement.
Also when player aims firearms in their direction, they will strafe in zig-zags to make it especially hard to hit them.
Rarely they will use Colt1911 with a single hand.
Also, since they're not actual humans, their bodies decay shortly after their death.

Some enemies will now able to initiate grab attacks that immobilise player, drain their health and will eventually kill them unless player manages to escape by moving their mouse left and right.
If you're not fast enough, you'll get choked to death. :>

Jack's new phone will replace hub minimap's functionalities and also allow to access ingame's mail system and summon companions.

Creating minimap layouts for static levels is really... Timeconsuming. So I had to come up with another way of helping players navigate hub levels.
Adding on-screen waypoints would be too handholding. So we came up with another solution.
Jack will receive phone messages along with attached images showing locations. This will give players a hint regarding where they need to go, without necessarily showing the exact path to the destination.
It's also used for calling player's companions to "summon" them.

Finally a new assault rifle!

Unlike anything else in SourceWorld, F2000 allows you to use its scope. I tried to replicate CS:GO's scoping mechanic used for SSG556 or AUG.
