Hello Primals!!!
We bring good news!!! We’re getting ready to release a new patch for the current version of the game, bringing more quality-of-life improvements while also giving everyone the chance to test our first pass at the growth system.
We feel growth is a much-needed mechanic that will push the game further toward the survival experience we’ve all been waiting for. Getting this patch into your hands will also give us good feedback as we continue developing and improving it.
Alongside growth, this patch will introduce a brand-new map that will have more open Savanna plains.
One of our main goals with this map was to create a world that feels more open and gives players greater visibility and room to move, explore, hunt, fight, and survive. The wider plains should also create different encounters between animals and make movement/awareness of your surroundings much more important.
The new map will also include some of the newer environmental and world features that came with our new engine update. This gives us an opportunity to bring some of that newer technology into the current build and see how these features react with actual players running around the world.
This will be especially important because we’ll also be using this upcoming patch to test server stability and overall game performance.
First pass of the growth system
Brand-new map with larger, more open plains
Newer world and environmental features introduced with the new engine update
Reworked damage system
Knockback attacks for certain animals
Quality-of-life improvements
Server stability and performance testing
A plethora of bug fixes and general improvements
The new version of the game still needs more development time before it’s ready. Rather than leaving the current build untouched while we continue working on it, we’ll be sending out hotfixes and other smaller additions to the current version whenever possible.
Right now, there are still a few remaining bugs that need to be ironed out before this patch is ready. Once those are fixed and we're comfortable with the state of the build, the patch will be released as soon as possible.
Your feedback on growth, combat changes, the new map, performance, server stability, and the overall survival experience will help us understand what works, what needs adjusting, and where we should continue improving.
Thank you all for your patience, constructive criticism, complaints, feedback, and faith in us. We know the wait for the newer version has taken time, and we truly appreciate everyone who has continued supporting the game and giving us feedback along the way.
