Hi Legends,
1.3.2 is out, and this one is all about the 2D Live.
With 1.3.1 the interface around your career finally came together. The Live, the moment your player actually steps onto the map, was still the old screen: squeezed into the middle, black bars on the sides, names you had to squint at. Some of you told me exactly that, and you were right. This patch is my answer.
A match that looks like a match
The Live now fills the whole screen and reads like a broadcast. Scoreboard on top, the ten players along the bottom, the map in the middle from edge to edge. I rebuilt it around one simple question: if you glance at it for two seconds, do you understand what's going on? Who's alive, who's ahead, who's carrying the round.
The maps got a proper upgrade
All seven maps have been remastered in far more detail and extended past the playable area, so nothing looks cut off anymore. The one rule I didn't bend: every wall, route and position stays exactly where it was. The maps look better, but a round on Reactor plays the way it always has, and nothing you've learned is thrown away.
The stats, one click away
The space on the sides isn't just scenery. Open the panel for either team whenever you want and you get a live scoreboard: flags, roles, kills, deaths and assists, re-ranked as the round unfolds. Keep it open or tuck it away, the game remembers how you like it.
Assists finally count
This is the part I'm happiest about. Assists are now tracked everywhere, in the Live, in simulated matches, even when you simulate the rest of a match halfway through, and they're part of your rating. If you're the teammate who softens up the fight so someone else can close it, the game now sees it. And from here on, every new stat I add will become part of the rating too, not just another number on a screen.
What's next
Next I'm going back to the reports you've sent me about the career side and the achievements that still need a second look. The Live will keep getting attention as well, now that it finally has room to breathe.
Jump into a match, open those side panels, and tell me on Discord how it feels, that's exactly what it's there for.
See you soon,
Federico
