Enemies now fight whoever is nearest, not whoever is hosting. Zombies and scavs standing in front of a squadmate used to simply stand there - they would not chase, shoot, or even turn round - while the same enemies worked perfectly for the host. They were switched off because the host's screen was deciding which of them were awake.
Hounds can be killed by anyone in the squad. A client's bullets went nowhere: the dog took the hit locally and got straight back up. Grenades and melee always worked, which is what made it look like the dogs specifically were invincible.
The Large Mutant hurts one person at a time. One swing of one arm was landing on the host AND on everyone else, and swatting a squadmate crushed the host instead of them.
A raid opened by somebody other than the host is now actually built. If a client went out first while the host stayed at base, nothing spawned - no enemies and no boss, however the deploy board's dials were set.
Enemies killed a long way from anybody finish falling over instead of freezing on the first frame of it.
The Large Mutant
He can be killed, and he stays dead. Emptying his health used to knock him down for seven seconds, after which he stood back up at FULL health and kept coming - there was no amount of ammo that removed him from the map. He is still the toughest thing in the raid by a wide margin, but he is finite now.
He roars once, when he arrives, and is quiet after that. He was roaring on sight, on every charge, on every grab, on being knocked down and on a timer while he prowled, which with an attack landing every couple of seconds read as something that never shut up.
Controls
The pump shotgun racks on SPACE. It shared the pickup key, so working the pump while stood over loot did both at once.
Fixes
You can shoot something standing on top of you again. Rounds leave the end of the barrel now, and the barrel tip is most of a body-length in front of you - so anything closer than that was behind its own bullet and could not be hit at all. A shotgun fired point-blank now puts the whole pattern into whatever is in your face.
Killing something that had hold of you lets go of you. A screamer that grabbed you and then died stayed clamped on: you were left rooted in the pose of the swing that killed it, unable to run, with nothing that could ever free you.
Unarmed no longer aims down a scope. Holstering a rifle with a sight on it left the sight's reticle on screen over a pair of empty hands.
