Hey everyone,
This update is all about one thing: when the game shows you a number, it should be right. A lot of this came straight from your feedback on Discord and by email, so thank you. Special thanks to Masonator, whose China playthrough found half of these.
Parliament and elections
Seats always add up now. No more 401 seats in a 400 seat chamber.
China and Vietnam start with a dominant ruling party holding most of the seats, plus small allied parties. Party names are fictional for every country, but the structure finally makes sense.
After an election, the government you see in the coalition panel is the same one announced in the election result.
Presidential and one party systems keep their government after elections instead of getting reshuffled like a parliament.
Fixed a hidden bug that added a spread penalty after every election in non-English games, even when the government didn't change.
Economy
Reserves can't go below zero anymore. If you spend more than you have, the difference goes onto your debt, like it should.
The turn report now shows GDP, debt to GDP and reserves before and after the turn.
The Studies Centre uses your country's currency and shows GDP and debt on separate scales, so the chart is actually readable.
Command terminal
Asking a question no longer moves the calendar forward. Ask your advisors whatever you want.
If you dismiss the suggested alternatives after a rejection, they stay dismissed when you reload.
Tables in the full analysis are displayed properly instead of raw text.
Responses are faster. I removed some artificial waiting that slowed down every command.
Diplomacy
The diplomatic log no longer shows "undefined with undefined". Entries are now in your language.
What I'm working on next
Making the AI more open to big structural reforms, especially when you've spent turns preparing the ground politically.
Making sure every effect described in the analysis actually lands on your numbers.
More indicators on screen. Yes, I hear you.
Keep the feedback coming, on Discord or by email. It goes straight into the patches.
