🐧🍎 CITADEL ZERO RUNS ON LINUX, STEAMOS AND MACOS

  • Native builds for Linux / SteamOS and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) are live. Same game, same save, same servers.
  • Your progress follows you — the account lives on our servers, so you can start a run on Windows and pick it up on a Steam Deck.
  • Cross-platform duels — Ascension matches run between any two platforms. We prove it every week with an automated test that plays a full match Windows↔Linux and macOS↔Linux and checks both sides simulated it identically, tick by tick.

🎯 MISSIONS REBUILT

  • Your quests now rotate. Each slot draws from its own pool, so the daily changes day to day and the three weeklies change week to week. Everyone gets the same quest on the same day.
  • New objectives. The old targets had gone stale — 1,500 kills fell inside the first two minutes of the week. Quests now ask for something: finish 10, 15 or 20 contracts, reach wave 140 or 160, clear wave 120 twice.
  • The biggest prize now goes to the smartest run, not the longest one. The top weekly asks you to go deep while carrying stacked DIFFICULTY — wave 100 at ×10, wave 120 at ×8, or wave 80 at ×15. Stacking DIFFICULTY floods the field but caps the risk, so it's a build gamble rather than a grind. A clean wave-155 run does not complete it.
  • Objectives are spelled out. No more cryptic shorthand — a quest now reads "REACH WAVE 100 WITH ×10 DIFFICULTY" instead of "W100 AT DIFFICULTY ×10". Names too long for the card scroll gently instead of being squeezed.
  • Every quest shows its mode — the mode's own icon sits on the card, and hovering it names the mode in your language.
  • Rewards are unchanged. The weekly faucet is still 900 Void Shards, 700 Stellar Marks and 23 Fragments — the reward belongs to the slot, so whatever quest you draw, the week pays the same.

🐛 FIXES

  • Daily login rewards were off for players outside UTC. The streak counted your local day while the server paid on its own — so the reward you saw could differ from the one you got, and an evening session followed by a morning one could be refused outright. Both now agree.
  • An offline session could destroy a whole week of rewards. If the game started while Steam was closed or the network hiccuped, collecting a quest — or your daily login bonus — marked it as taken locally without the server ever paying, and the button never came back. Claiming offline now tells you honestly instead.
  • A reward the server owed you could be unreachable. After a reinstall or a cleared save, the button stayed greyed out even though the server had your progress. It now asks the server rather than trusting the local copy.
  • Mission cards could promise a reward the server refused. Very short runs count for you but not for the server ; the card now tracks exactly what the server credited.
  • A deep run that only just made its target could be denied over one wave after a slow connection at launch. The tolerance was widened.
  • Mission reset timers were counting to local midnight while quests actually change at UTC midnight — they now name the real moment, and show seconds in the last minute.
  • The panel title, the reset timers and several claim errors were showing in English whatever your language.
