Clutch Legend 1.3 Devlog #2 — Master at Arms

Hi Legends,

Here's the new devlog. This one is about Master at Arms: the new pre-round buy phase, and the system that finally gives every weapon a real place in your player’s story. Before each round, you now make an actual economy decision. Not just ECO, FORCE or FULL as labels, but real credits, real gear and real consequences: pistol, SMG or rifle choices, side-based weapons, kevlar, helmet, defuse kit and utility. Survivors keep what they saved, and you only pay for what you add.

Win the pistol and you can try to convert with an anti-eco. Lose the wrong rifle and the next round feels different.

Weapons That Actually Matter
Master at Arms currently includes 16 weapons, split between pistols, SMGs, rifles and snipers.

Each weapon has its own price, kill reward and stats: damage, penetration, precision, recoil, mobility, magazine and fire rate.

The important part is that these are not just UI numbers. The same weapon data feeds the 2D live match, so what you inspect in the buy phase is what shapes the fight on the field.

You can follow the coach template, or adjust the buy yourself section by section: pistol, SMG, rifle, sniper, armor and utility.

Weapon Mastery
Every player now develops mastery with individual weapons across their career.

Use an AK, M4, AWP, Deagle or SMG often enough, and that weapon becomes part of who the player is. Mastery grows both in the 2D live match and in simulated matches, so progression keeps moving whichever way you play.

Mastery improves control, precision and handling.

It does not magically increase damage. A mastered weapon feels cleaner, not fake.

AI players have mastery and preferences too, so an AWPer, Entry Fragger or Support will not all grow in the same direction.

A Small Note About Skins
Right now, the weapon visuals are intentionally simple.

They are clean base versions, made to keep Master at Arms, Weapon Mastery and the killfeed consistent. But there is a reason for building the armory this way.

After all, who would not want to win a Major and, together with fame and prize money, bring home a couple of skins for the weapons that carried them there? More on that later.

Master at Arms is one of the biggest pieces of 1.3 because it changes the feeling of every round before it even starts.

See you soon,

Federico

Community13 Sep 2026Achievements, Kept Promises, and Where We Go NextHi Legends, 1.3.2a is out, and with it the roadmap for where Clutch Legend goes next. The last patch was about the Live, the loud part. This one is about the quiet part: the things the game promises you and then forgets to deliver. Most of what is in here came from a single long post on this forum, written by Eaf , who sat down and listed everything that felt off after a real career instead of…Community12 Sep 2026The 2D Live, Rebuilt Like a BroadcastHi Legends, 1.3.2 is out, and this one is all about the 2D Live. With 1.3.1 the interface around your career finally came together. The Live, the moment your player actually steps onto the map, was still the old screen: squeezed into the middle, black bars on the sides, names you had to squint at. Some of you told me exactly that, and you were right. This patch is my answer. A match that looks…In-game event12 Sep 2026Patch 1.3.2 — LIVE 2DPATCH 1.3.2 — LIVE 2D a. The 2D Live gets its biggest update yet. The match now plays out as a full-screen, broadcast-style show. The scoreboard sits on top with team crests, score, round timer and series progress; all ten players line up at the bottom, each with an avatar that drains as they lose HP, plus kills, deaths, money, weapon and grenades; the map takes the center and fills the screen…
