Hello Operators!
Hopefully everyone is getting in the last bits of summer before the days begin to shorten on us and we appreciate you keeping up with all things Method of Entry!
The past few months have seen some major updates and improvements, and the team at Attack Dog Studios wanted to drop an update for the community to follow along with development! While the following is not an all encompassing list, theses were some of the biggest highlights;
- Incorporation and implementation of Steam audio for better directional and vertical audio in game.
- Addition of more polished in game and menu UI to replace the v.1 placeholders currently in game.
- Fixed/reworked several weapon blocking distances for better QOL when moving around.
- MAP FIXES! Reworks, lighting tweaks, routing changes, etc...all based on the continuous internal playtest feedback.
- Implemented v.1 of our "specializations" system, which is our take on in game economy.
On the topic of playtests, the team is now running weekly internal testing which has been invaluable in helping us to polish maps and find/squash bugs to further refine the experience for players. These tests have been a great mix of work and fun as the experience continues to be refined, and they become less and less about bug squashing and more and more about the gameplay itself, and new maps are being added to the test pool as we speak!
All of this to say that while there is still work to be done, we're getting really, really close! The project has definitely turned a major corner recently, and for the 5 of us, seeing our pet project turn into an actual game has been nothing short of amazing and we cant thank you all enough for tagging along for the ride.
More to follow in the coming weeks, and keep an eye out on the socials for some new content coming soon.
