This Demo update is now live on Windows and macOS, with improvements to photo viewing, document reading, and interface controls.
Photo Viewing
- Zoom further into enlarged photos and drag them freely to inspect details. Mouse-wheel and trackpad zoom are supported.
- Added a “Return to Evidence Desk” button to the enlarged photo view.
- Changed extracted-portrait markers so they do not cover faces. Verified and locked portraits no longer appear in the selectable photo list.
Reading and Controls
- Switching to the family tree or archive search and back to evidence now preserves the current document page and photo view. Closing the evidence ends that viewing session.
- Improved evidence reader layout and pagination, and reduced overlap between the reader and bottom navigation.
- Improved the guidance for holding and dragging family-tree cards, and removed redundant bottom-navigation hover tips.
Bug Fixes
- Added a one-time check and repair retry for certain Windows startup failures caused by installation-folder permissions.
Thank you for playing the Demo and continuing to share your feedback and suggestions.
