This Demo update is now live on Windows and macOS.
New Features
- Desktop genealogy nodes can now hold up to two additional photos alongside the primary portrait. Supplemental photos can be replaced or removed, and the layout compacts automatically.
- Supplemental photos now participate in identity verification. Each correct photo receives its own confirmation feedback and relationship-colored marker; verified photo slots are then locked against accidental changes.
- Long-press any non-root genealogy node for about half a second to drag its entire family branch. Unverified branches can be reordered among siblings or moved under another parent, while verified branches can still be reordered among siblings under the same parent.
- Branch dragging now includes clearer drop previews, edge auto-pan, and steadier snapping for wide family trees.
Fixes and Improvements
- Returning from an archive search opened from selected evidence text now preserves the original document and reading position.
- Improved the responsiveness and continuity of genealogy zoom on macOS trackpads.
- Clicking or dragging empty space on the genealogy wall now correctly dismisses active name and year inputs.
- Further reduced the intensity of the full-screen white flash during portrait capture.
- Verification results are now saved before confirmation animations, preventing progress from rolling back or replaying after a refresh or interruption.
- The Web/H5 versions no longer use redeem codes or browser cloud saves. Their progress is stored separately in the current browser; Steam local saves are unaffected.
- Tightened the mobile Settings panel height to remove excess empty space.
Existing Steam saves remain compatible. Thank you for playing and for your feedback.
