Hello fellow pigs! 🐷
How's going? How was the summer? Today I'd like to share with you some plans for the end of 2026, what to expect, what changed, what news will be.
The more I was working on a project, the more I started to notice that in attempt to achieve realistic picture style, the game visually just became too grey and neutral. I believe it was still alright visually, but not the best it could be.
After playing for some time with colors and tones I think we got the best result now, where game looks alive, juicy and vibrant. Please keep in mind, it was not a graphical update, only visual. I just played with color palette. It means that it has 0 effect on performance or system requirements. (at some moments it felt even faster lol)
You can find quick comparison below:
I really want players to get 100% best possible experience and content right from the first start of the game/demo. That means, since we have visual update, demo version will get it too! Also, not only visual update, but it will also get some other updates stuff I already changed in full game version, such as: newest UI, some extra bug fixes, QoL, couple cut scenes adjustments and new intro cut scene (with cart).
So, if you're new player or want to revisit the demo while waiting, check this post later September or early October. I comment this post when it's updated.
Since there is visual update and game has more content developed and in development, I finally have some new materials to show. Hence, the Steam page was updated with jaw-breaking new pictures.
When finished reading check them out on Medieval Pig store page! (or below)
Since so much new cool stuff going on, which we discussed in this post and not only, it is time to drop a new trailer! Trailer will be released either in October or in November. Buckle up! Jaws will drop!
Another post will be created when trailer date is settled and when it actually released.
Stay tuned!
Let me know what you think about all this.
See you soon,
Pig 🐷
