Week 5 brings new ways for the arena to mess with your build — along with some improvements designed to make longer runs cleaner and easier to read.
This update introduces new form-changing mechanics, redesigned power-ups and a new tiered drop system.
A new random event has been added to the arena.
Once additional forms are available, Forced Form Swap can temporarily switch your active form to another one for a few seconds.
Your build might be working perfectly... and then suddenly you have to adapt.
A new power-up can now appear during runs.
Picking it up will temporarily transform you into another form — even one you haven't unlocked yet.
This gives you a chance to experience different forms during a run and creates some interesting situations when the arena is already getting chaotic.
The existing power-up icons have been completely refreshed.
Defense, damage, speed and multiplier power-ups now use a cleaner and more consistent visual style, making them easier to recognize during hectic moments.
Longer runs can generate a huge number of resource drops, so the drop system has been expanded with higher-value variants.
Drops now come in three tiers:
Green Drop — base value
Yellow Drop — worth 5 Green Drops
Red Drop — worth 5 Yellow Drops
That means one Red Drop is worth 25 Green Drops.
Higher-value drops are also slightly larger, making them easier to distinguish at a glance.
The goal is simple: fewer objects on screen, while keeping the same rewards during late-game runs.
These changes should make longer runs cleaner while adding even more unpredictability to Circulo's form system.
As always, I'll keep improving the game and building on these systems in future updates.
Thanks for playing Circulo and for following the development!
