Another week, another round of improvements to Circulo.
This week has been focused heavily on accessibility, customization, polish and making the game more comfortable to play across different setups.
A demo version of Circulo is now available, giving new players a chance to experience the core gameplay loop before jumping into the full game.
The demo includes the main arena survival experience and progression systems, while limiting some content and progression available in the full version.
The settings screen has received a major overhaul.
Settings are now separated into dedicated, clickable tabs, making the menu much easier to navigate and leaving more room for additional configuration options.
New and expanded settings include options such as:
Screen Shake
Flashing Effects
FPS Counter
FPS Limit
VSync
Additional display and interface options
More settings and accessibility improvements may be added in future updates.
Full controller support has also been expanded with controller button remapping.
Players can now customize their controller layout instead of being limited to the default bindings.
Together with the existing full controller navigation, Circulo can still be played from start to finish without requiring a mouse or keyboard.
The soundtrack has been refreshed with new background music.
The goal was to move away from the previous heavily 8-bit-inspired sound and introduce music that better fits longer runs while keeping the fast-paced feel of the game.
Several gameplay issues were also fixed this week:
Fixed an issue during Screen Shake Storm where opening the pause menu could allow players to wait out the event.
Fixed missing or incorrectly displayed yellow damage numbers when using forms other than Circle.
Various smaller UI and gameplay improvements.
Development is continuing, with more quality-of-life improvements, fixes and new features planned.
As always, feedback is very welcome - especially if you encounter any issues with the new settings, controller remapping or demo.
Thanks for playing and supporting Circulo.
See you in the arena!
