We’ve passed 400,000 wishlists on Steam.
Normally, this is where we’d give you the carefully written PR paragraph about how overjoyed, thrilled, humbled, and generally delighted we are to have reached such an incredible milestone.
And, well…we are, but what’s written below is probably a lot closer to what actually went through our heads when we saw the number.

400,000 is, frankly, a slightly ridiculous number of people waiting to see what happens when you put a fishing trawler, a flooded world on the brink of collapse and permanent mutation, and several deeply questionable lifeforms in the same game.
Seriously though, whether you’ve been following DREADMOOR from the start, shared it with someone else, joined one of our playtests, or sent us feedback along the way, thank you.
You’ve helped us get the game this far, and we really do genuinely appreciate it.
And very soon, you’ll get another chance to climb back aboard the trawler, head out into the Submerged Lands, and see exactly what we’ve been doing instead!

From September 10 until September 14, we're opening DREADMOOR once again for a new Open Playtest!
Since the last playtest, we’ve taken the feedback that you sent us and done the only sensible thing: actually used it.
The result is a pretty substantial update. We’ve significantly reworked the quest chain, improved several areas of the world, added new fish, updated dialogue, and changed plenty of other things to make everything even better.
So, naturally, we’d like you to come back and break it again.
Join us for the latest version of DREADMOOR, explore what’s changed, and help us figure out what still needs fixing.

Your feedback during the Open Playtest will help us decide what DREADMOOR needs next, so please be honest with your feedback - positive or negative
If something works, tell us. If it doesn’t, definitely tell us. If something is confusing, frustrating, awkward, broken, or makes you wonder what on earth we were thinking, we’d quite like to hear about that too.
Your detailed feedback is what helps us improve the game.
A lot has changed since the last playtest, so here is a closer look at some of the bigger changes, improvements, and additions you’ll be able to get your hands on between September 10 and September 14.
Quests now provide clearer guidance and introduce DREADMOOR’s systems more naturally as you progress
Several areas of the Submerged Lands have also been updated and expanded.
There are a few new things waiting beneath the surface during this playtest.
We've also continued working on dialogue throughout DREADMOOR to better support the newly reworked quest progression.
There will be an in-game "SUBMIT A BUG" button that you can use. This will open our bug report form, where you can tell us what happened.
You can also use this link to submit your bugs directly: https://forms.gle/hxyxHsTG6c6ZJRBRA
Before we wrap this up, one more thank you to everyone who helped DREADMOOR reach 400,000 wishlists.
Whether you’ve been following the game, joining our playtests, sending us feedback, or quietly watching from the sidelines waiting to see whether we actually pull this thing off, we genuinely appreciate you being here.
The Open Playtest begins on September 10, and we’re very much looking forward to hearing what you think of the latest version.
Preferably in great detail.
See you in the Submerged Lands.
DREADMOOR is a dark first-person horror fishing adventure game. Anglers explore both land and sea, fishing for a wide variety of aquatic creatures lurking in the depths of the treacherous waters, and fighting their way through a flooded wasteland filled with danger and mystery.
