Adventure mode is now added. In this mode resting at an Inn (or camping) will save the game, so if you die you can resume from there.

Additionally, a huge expansion to the world: lots of new zones, a rebuilt bestiary, many more dragons (red, blue, white, green, black in adult, elder and ancient varieties), complete loot rebalance, combat and armor rework, and tons of new magical weapons and artifacts.

Major World Expansion

  • Added a large set of new optional dungeons, side routes, and late-game branches.
  • Added substantial new exploration content across the campaign.
  • Added early and mid-game side crawls like Old Cave and Dusty Dungeon.
  • Added new northern and wilderness locations, including North Quarry, Oldroot Temple, Widowrun Cave, Moonwell Tunnels, Ghostwood, Inconspicuous Cave, Mountain Pass, and Saltmere Caverns.
  • Added major late-game danger zones around the Scar, including Great Scar Crevasse and Lesser Scar Breach.
  • Expanded the final Starfall dive into a much larger endgame dungeon sequence.
  • Added new branch descents, boss floors, treasure rooms, lairs, shrine rewards, hidden caches, and special dungeon payoffs.
  • Reworked and renamed several existing locations so the world reads more clearly.

Dragons

  • Greatly expanded dragon content across the game.
  • Added full true dragon families with stronger tier progression.
  • Added more red, blue, white, green, black, and forest dragon encounters.
  • Added new dragon lairs, hoards, and late-game dragon sites.
  • Added a Mountain Pass dragon lair.
  • Retuned Ash Tower around a young red dragon encounter.
  • Expanded Dragon Hunt pressure and late-game dragon pools.
  • Added forest dragons with their own identity and threat profile.
  • Improved dragon breath weapons, spell behavior, armor expectations, XP rewards, and hoard-style loot.
  • Added more ancient dragon pressure in the highest-end content.

Bestiary Overhaul

  • Rebuilt and renamed a large part of the monster bestiary.
  • Added many new low, mid, and late-game enemies.
  • Added clearer monster families, faction ranks, and threat roles.
  • Added new undead, blackglass, scar, cave, wilderness, elemental, dragonkin, werewolf, and late-game dungeon threats.
  • Reworked monster names so enemies feel less like local placeholders and more like a coherent bestiary.
  • Expanded monster abilities, including spells, breath weapons, poison, disease, level drain, magic resistance, and special attacks.
  • Rebalanced low-level dungeon monsters and late-game monster pressure.

Items, Artifacts & Loot

  • Added a much deeper magic item curve.
  • Added generated magic equipment affixes.
  • Added slaying weapon affixes for hunting specific enemy types.
  • Added more high-end magic gear, including rare +4 and +5 equipment.
  • Expanded the artifact pool with many new named weapons, armor pieces, jewelry, tools, packs, pouches, and special rewards.
  • Added more lore-tied artifacts and dungeon-specific unique finds.
  • Improved artifact presentation with clearer unidentified appearances.
  • Retuned loot so major bosses, dragons, hoards, treasure rooms, and late-game branches can pay out more exciting rewards.
  • Reworked monster drops so ordinary enemies are less spammy, while elites, bosses, dragons, and special encounters matter more.
  • Reworked chest rewards and special dungeon reward placement.
  • Added clearer magic item notices and better item descriptions.

Combat & Character Systems

  • Reworked armor into percentage-based ARM.
  • Added weapon and monster penetration.
  • Added monster magic resistance.
  • Added elemental vulnerabilities and clearer damage-type interactions.
  • Added disease, Cure Disease, level drain, and restoration tools.
  • Added improved poison tiers and expanded corpse effects.
  • Added corpse risks, permanent resistance chances, and rare attribute gains.
  • Retuned hunger, sleep, carry limits, natural healing, bandages, rations, camping kits, and Last Chance behavior.
  • Made lockpicking more explicit, with durable lockpicks.

UI, Controls & Presentation

  • Added item comparison.
  • Improved enemy inspect text with clearer live monster stats.
  • Improved gamepad movement, repeat behavior, quantity dialogs, menu paging, cancel behavior, and input hints.
  • Added ASCII world zoom support.
  • Added native display mode settings.
  • Added message-log attack roll display options.
  • Improved game-over retry flow and first-death guidance.
  • Improved save/load presentation, including Adventure checkpoints.
  • Improved tall-screen and Android input hints.

Visuals

  • Added a large new simple pixel-art sprite set.
  • Added sprites for many monsters, NPCs, player classes, terrain, props, doors, stairs, containers, world tiles, and points of interest.
  • Improved sprite camera behavior, world-map rendering, fog edges, tile alignment, and HUD clamping.
  • Added animated monster projectiles and spell effects.
  • Cleaned up opening text, game mode descriptions, NPC labels, item descriptions, quest reminders, and guidebook presentation.

Fixes & Balance

  • Retuned exploration XP and checkpoint XP.
  • Retuned Dragon Hunt difficulty and late-game dragon placement.
  • Retuned several dungeon lengths and difficulty bands.
  • Improved shop stock and shrine inventories.
  • Fixed issues with stairs, map edges, blocked landings, message bars, world-view bounds, load-menu delete, ground item use, channeled spells, keypad repeats, gamepad hints, and game-over retry behavior.
