Since announcing the release date for Ars Notoria, we’ve received a lot of enthusiastic feedback from players. Thank you so much for your support! Many players also have questions about the upcoming EA version, so we’ve prepared this FAQ to address some of the most common ones.

The Early Access release will be available on PC (Steam).

Controllers are not supported at the Early Access launch. This feature is planned to be added later during Early Access.
While old saves can still be used, minor compatibility issues may occur. Starting a new save is recommended for the best experience.
The game supports Steam Cloud, allowing you to continue your progress when logging into the same Steam account on another device.
You can also manually back up your save files when moving to a new device. Save files are located at:

Ars Notoria is an open-world survival crafting game set in a rich fantasy world. Blending classic gameplay elements like building, crafting, and survival, it invites you on a journey filled with wonder, mystery, and discovery.
The Early Access version features an open world with multiple biomes to explore and all core gameplay systems implemented, including combat, building, crafting, and faction management. You can join the Holy Guard faction in the Training Camp, experience their storyline, develop your own faction, and build a settlement.

Yes! We will continue adding new content and fixing issues based on community feedback.
You can play solo or join online PVE with friends to explore the world of Ars Notoria.
Multiplayer is still being optimized. To reduce potential issues:
Have the player with the best network conditions host the session
Back up your world and character saves before playing online
If you encounter any multiplayer issues, please report them. Your experience is very important to us, and we are continually improving multiplayer gameplay.
There is no hard limit but the game is balanced for parties with up to 4 players.
Currently, the game only supports PvE. PvP support is planned for a future Early Access update.
The game difficulty can be selected when creating a new game world or adjusted at any time from the Settings menu. The available options are:
Sandbox – Enemies are weaker and less aggressive, suitable for a peaceful building and crafting experience.
Normal – Balanced enemy strength, providing a moderate challenge in combat.
Survival – Stronger enemies and higher difficulty, testing your survival skills in the harsh world.
From the main menu, click Settings to adjust graphics, key bindings, auto-save intervals, UI, audio, and more. During gameplay, press ESC to access the settings menu.
You can submit a bug report through the in-game form (including screenshots and detailed descriptions if possible), or join the official Discord to report issues directly. We will review and follow up promptly.
