Hello!Keith here, and I wanted to give my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported us and Luminary so far. As you can imagine, launching something you have been working on for the public to play (and scrutinize) is the most nerve wracking thing, specially when doing it during Next Fest.In hindsight, we should have waited until Next Fest in February, and launched a more feature complete Demo a month before that to work out any bugs, but you don't know what you don't know, and this being our first time doing anything like this we learned a lot! That being said, I think we did pretty good. There was a point where we were the Top Trending Demo in our genre during Next Fest. We definitely had day one bugs, but we showed the community that we are dedicated to improving with their feedback, and knocked out the majority of those bugs in the first few days of launch. Even adding MUCH better MKB controls in the first week.We also had a pretty good reception from the community. Our Demo never dropped below the "Very Positive" review rank, and is currently sitting at 84% out of 94 total reviews. Most of the Negatives (Some legit and some trolls) came within the first few days of Launch, but since making improvements to the demo our last 20 reviews have all been positive. So the version of the demo people initially played I can safely say was the WORST version anyone will ever play, as it will only continue to get more features and more polished from here. As we work on the Early Access version (which can be expected to release sometime Q2 2026) we continue to roll those EA features and fixes into the Demo build, which we have left active for any new people to test Luminary.Next week you can expect a Demo patch update, that will bring a host of bug fixes along with some significant features added. Character Leveling/Progression
Character stats (Health, Stamina, Mana, Melee ATK, Range ATK, Magic ATK) and the ability to upgrade thoseWeapon Skills/Progression
Level up weapons and even potions by using themWeapon Abilities
As you level up weapons, they will unlock new abilities for you to assign and use in combat

Tier 2 Difficulty
After you beat the demo, Tier 2 Difficulty will unlock, allowed you to play through the demo again with harder and more mobs, who reward higher XP, using the same leveled up character and abilities you've unlocked from your Tier 1 playthroughI plan to communicate with you all through these news/announcement drops on Steam more regularly. I'm also very close with our community in our Discord, and with your help, I know we can make Luminary a game for everyone to truly love together.

Community4 Sep 2026Dev Blog #1 How'd launch go?Hey Everyone! I wanted to start making Dev Blogs a regular thing. Even if we don't have an update ready to release, I still want you all to stay informed every few weeks on how things are going and what we are working on. Lets start with how Launch went. Making a game and putting it out into the world has always been a dream of mine. We are completely self taught, and just figuring things out as we go along. A co-op openworld ARPG is not an easy type of game to make either, and many told us we shouldn't start with something this big, but it was just the game we wanted to make…
