In this update, we improved Dead Metro’s gameplay by adding new items and player-support equipment, along with a new type of vehicle and additional systems.

WEAPON ATTACHMENT

Players can now aim down sights, and we’ve also added more weapon attachments—such as scopes and bayonets—allowing players to customize their weapons to match their playstyle.

Players can craft all weapon attachments at the crafting table.

Currently, some weapon attachments—such as grips and stocks—do not yet affect recoil control, so shooting behavior remains unchanged for now.

We also added two aiming options for third-person mode: aiming down sights and an over-the-shoulder camera aim.
In first-person mode, aiming is limited to aiming down sights only.

We are currently working on improving weapon recoil and will introduce these changes in future updates. This will add more challenge to gunplay, making weapon attachments more meaningful for controlling recoil and improving overall handling.

THROWING ITEM

We’ve added new throwable weapons such as grenades, dynamite, and pipe bombs, along with utility options like throwing knives—and even shuriken, if you feel like going full ninja.

LIST

  • Molotov
  • Flash Grenade
    - Flash grenades do not affect the infected, but they can be used as a sound lure.
  • Grenade
  • Dynamite
  • Pipe Bomb
  • Smoke Grenade
  • Throwing Knife
  • Shuriken
  • Firecracker
    - It acts as a lure to draw infected toward it—throw it and run.

NEW CAR

We’ve added four new vehicle types to improve realism and better support future updates.

Sedan

A standard four-seater vehicle that can be found across the map. It offers decent speed and storage capacity. When under attack, its durability may help keep you alive—though not for long.

Campervan

A drivable home that lets you step inside and store your items directly. Be careful when exiting—you might hit your head, so remember to crouch before getting out.

It’s perfect for players who enjoy traveling, though its speed may not be very satisfying. However, its durability is something you can rely on.

Buggy

Built for speed on open roads, the buggy is the fastest vehicle available, offering excellent agility for maneuvering and evasion.

However, you’re vulnerable to attacks from the sides and above, as it lacks protective armor—so survival depends on your driving skills.

Jeep

A well-balanced vehicle used by both the military and civilians. It’s ideal for players who enjoy exploration and off-road travel, offering a solid mix of speed and durability. When under attack, its toughness may help you survive.

These features are still in development and will continue to be expanded in future updates. We also plan to support deeper customization beyond basic vehicle repairs.

CHANGE

  • Improved infected navigation to support upcoming systems that will introduce more complexity in future updates
  • Updated certain weapon models to support attachments
  • Fixed an issue where infected would immediately track players instead of reacting to alarm sounds when triggered nearby
  • Added a trajectory indicator for arrows, making it easier to track their path toward targets
  • Increased fire damage
  • Increased nighttime brightness makes it easier to see in open areas, though a flashlight may still be necessary in certain locations.

IN DEVELOPMENT

  • During gameplay, players may still encounter infected clipping through certain objects in the environment, including player-built structures.
  • You may encounter infected getting stuck on fences or barricades. We believe this is a navigation-related issue and are currently working on a fix.

FIX BUG

  • Fixed an issue where infected bodies would move and rotate erratically after being killed
  • Adjusted item balance
  • Fixed texture display issues on weapons
  • Changed the weapon aiming calculation system.
  • Fixed an issue where infected spawned at a distance would move in a jittery manner.
