Gravethorn · published · build 22956190

Greetings!
This is a small balance patch focused on New Game+ (Nightmare Mode).
Enemy health and damage have been significantly reduced. Nightmare Mode ended up being far more punishing than intended. The goal was to recreate a sense of challenge for a second playthrough, but it went too far. This update pulls things back, especially for Nightmare I.
As a result, New Game+ runs should now feel much more manageable for players who want to revisit the story or complete content they may have missed.
Fixed an issue where the Nightborne ability could cause problems with the player’s Max HP.
Adjusted how Nightborne works:
it no longer limits Max HP. Instead, it now uses your current Max HP and increases the damage taken while controlling the shadow.
This change prevents cases where Max HP could become incorrectly locked.
If you were affected by this issue, it should be resolved upon reloading the game.
Added Sword Damage and Ranged Damage stats to the right panel in the inventory screen.
Active Trinket effects are now displayed under the health bar, similar to Sigil effects.
Increased the raw sword damage bonus granted by Strength Elixir.
Weeping Thorn now activates its damage reduction at 40% HP (previously 25%).
Increased the raw ranged damage bonus of Dirge of Hollow Winds.
Reduced the damage of crouching attacks. (I see you, Jhon.)
Fixed an issue where, in some languages, the 4th button in The Merchant menu (Leave option) was not visible.
Fixed incorrect text rendering in the Brazilian Portuguese localization, where "<" and “>” symbols were displayed incorrectly.
Fixed an issue in some languages where the completed objective text under “Goal Achieved” was not displayed properly.
I’ve also settled into my new place, so I may continue releasing small fixes and adjustments for Gravethorn when needed.
That said, my main focus is now on the next project.
Still, if the opportunity comes up, I’d like to surprise you with a few more additions.
Until then, take care 🖤 —Mirac
