Greetings, bushcrafters!
A huge thank you to everyone who has tried surviving in Ember’s Verge! I’m very pleased with the launch so far. I didn’t expect any huge explosion, but more and more players are discovering the game. Seeing so many people explore the world has been incredibly motivating. I’ve been closely monitoring the feedback from Discord and the forums, and this update focuses on improving the overall feel of the game and fixing some of the most reported technical issues.
Feedback is always welcome, it helps make the game better every day!

Improved movement smoothness:
- The player movement and camera systems have been decoupled from the physics engine's fixed update rate.
- This was a probable issue to cause stuttering with high-tier PCs and high-refresh rate monitors.
- Because of this change, you might need to slightly readjust your mouse sensitivity settings in the options menu.
Quality of life updates:
- Soil Planner improvements: The tool now clearly displays whether a patch of ground is Deformable (modifiable) or Static (fixed).
- Digging feedback: Digging in sandy ground now provides a clear "Nothing found" info if nothing was found. But there can be better luck next time.
- Fish Trap usability: Added a notification to move the fish trap to dry ground if you attempt to open it while it's still submerged.
Updates & Fixes:
- Wall Rack adjustment: Item placement on wall racks has been fine-tuned for better alignment. Note: You might want to re-place your items on the rack to continue e.g. drying!
- Sharp Stick utility: Sharp sticks now function like regular sticks. They can be used for tasks like terraforming and clay harvesting.
- Item positioning: Fixed ground offset issues for several items to prevent them from clipping into the ground.
- Other minor bug fixes.
Thank you for your support, and happy surviving!
