Added an option to disable the cyan glow for items on the ground (can be toggled in Game Settings).
Chopping down collapsed trees now yields dead wood trunks more easily.
Weather-sensitive items are now protected when placed inside an open-ended shelter/house.
Added a north indicator to the map.

Other Updates & Fixes:

Updated the season change notification to "A new season is approaching" for better accuracy.
Bait items now freeze during winter (maintaining their freshness).
Beds with a roof overhead will now remain snow-free during winter.
Smoothed out the appearance of ice blocks stranded on the ocean shore in winter. Also updated the walking sound on ice blocks.
Codex Spoilers: Renamed this page to "Detailed", as it contains in-depth mechanics rather than actual spoilers. Also added more info regarding game mechanics.
Fixed bug: Snowshoes caused players to get stuck when stepping into the ocean during winter.
Fixed bug: Winter blizzards should no longer appear excessively in cave entrances while the player is inside a cave.
Fixed bug: where non-edible items received "frozen" status (typically during loading).
Fixed bug: Quick charcoal production didn't work with the smoker.
Fixed bug: The inventory remained open after getting up from ice fishing. (Additionally, unequipping a fishing rod while sitting by an ice hole is now prevented).
Fixed bug: Fixed an issue where picking up a stack of shoulder-carried items was allowed while holding a hand item.
Other minor bug fixes.

Known issues:

Items set to hang on a knife may be placed on another knife in close proximity.
Season change issue: I have received a couple of reports that the season change notification might not appear or the current season's visuals just stay active (e.g., snow remaining during the spring). I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. If you encounter this bug, sharing your save file (via discord) with me would be a massive help in tracking down what went wrong under the hood!

Sometimes a pile collider is too big, rejecting placement near another item, when it can be obviously seen that there is plenty of space. Will continue refining later. - Iron prills can be piled now.
