We’re heavy into the preparation for PAX Australia now, please join us if you can!
We’ve fixed a lot of the longer term bugs now and feel combat is feeling the most solid it ever has been. We really wanted to give you the opportunity to play some of the latest cards we’ve made, especially strengthening the Legion’s heal builds and higher curve Coven builds.
We’re playing around with increasing the number of activate abilities that are available to you each turn, there has been quite a bit of feedback around “let me do more on my turn” and have been coding some much more complex effects. A few examples of this are:
Flank, where you now have significantly more control over where move your cards on the battlefield. This new keyword is incredibly strong and has been added to 5 cards this update. These cards can switch spaces and make for stronger control against the Horde.
Conductor, he is able to trigger the on death effect of an allied unit. This was a bit of a technical difficulty for us but finally got it done, now the code’s there we can do quite a few of these extra triggers.
Bell of Mercy, basically adds onto your effects. So when you heal there’s an additional effect, when you cast a spell there is one too, etc. Really keen to see some of the combos you cook up with this!
We’ve also taken steps to reduce RNG (there are still more coming) by removing conjure from provisions. They now determine which card reward you get when you get the provision, not when you use them. You can right click to see what you got, but now they have 0 RNG during combat. This will allow you to save the ones you need and not restart combat if you get a bad one! Super excited for this, and there’s a few more changes we’re not ready to talk about yet that have even more RNG reduction.
Lastly, the Nox have been in the back of our minds for ages and are now finally in the Demo. They have settled near the pride lands of the Taurus and are arch enemies. They use spears and swarm tactics to fight them but the Taurus, being part of the Legion, are able to fight back with intelligent battle tactics of their own. Give these combats a go, some are VERY challenging.
As always, please let us know if you have any crazy bugs, we want to get rid of them before release and we’re going to keep working to add new cards, builds, and enemies into the game!
