I have a confession to make... i totally lied on my game marketing... there isnt really 67.5 million behavioural combinations. I double checked the math and its only a measly 39.5 million.

I am truely sorry to anyone that planned to spend 8 lifetimes trying them all out.... but on the plus side, you'll now only have to live to like 400 years old to see them all. :)

If you hadnt already noticed, I'm a big fan of customisation... GOAT games like borderlands and diablo etc really tickle my loot goblin urges, and I wanted to do similar things with GST.. so lets explain some of the rediculous numbers I've quoted.... thats not actually lies and marketing fluff, its just what I think is fun to build strategies with.

15 Million items

Items are a procedural system with 5 teirs, which consists of...

  • 10 rarities

  • 30 prefixes

  • 10 materials

  • 50 weapon types (10 per attack move)

  • 50 armour types (10 per defense move)

10 rartities x 30 prefixes x 10 materials x 100 items = 300,000 base items

And then they can all drop as Sets too, which there is 50 of... which brings us to a grand total of 15,000,000 unique equipable items.

The loot drops are of course teired by rarity, so you wont see any legendary items til the later levels, and even then they are pretty rare... but with 15,000,000 items, I feel like the loot should rain down, so within about an hour of playing you'll like have 100's of items, and will probably appreciate the filtered sell functionality in the market.

39.5 Million Behavioural Combinations

WTF is a "behavioural combination"?

Buzzwords really, but its easier than explaining that I mean a rediculous amount of ways to combine Perks and Set effects every time I say it.

Perks/Sets are behavioural buffs, like bleed effects, HP syphoning, blinding, increasing damage when youre not doing damage, bonus damage triggered by external events, etc... all designed to give some really interesting build strategies and synergies.

  • 30 Common perks

  • 30 Rare perks

  • 30 Legendary perks

  • 50 Set bonuses

For Perks, you can equip one from each teir at a time (or none).. 31 x 31 x 31 = 29,791 perk combinations

For Sets, they can be either be used as full set (5 items equipped), or two 'broken' sets (3 items equipped) - so you can have 2 half strength Set bonuses running at the same time.

  • Option 1: No Set Bonuses (Just mismatch gear) = 1 combination

  • Option 2: One Broken Set (3 items matched, others blank/mismatched) = 50 combinations (Choose 1 out of 50)

  • Option 3: Two Broken Sets (6 items matched) = 1,225 combinations (Choose 2 distinct sets out of 50)

  • Option 4: One Full Set (5 items matched) = 50 combinations (Choose 1 out of 50)

Total = 1,326 total Set configurations

29,791 Perk combinations x 1,326 Set combinations = 39,502,866 possible behavioural setups for your fighter.

7.5 Trillion Names

If you see that and think that is possibly the most useless brag in game history, that is correct.... mostly.

Initially I just didnt want to police user entered names, cause I'm lazy and I dont trust you degenerates (you know who you are).

So I thought procedural generated names was the way. When I got into building it, it was feeling pretty samesy and unoriginal, so i just kept on adding to the database of names until it wasnt.... and it ended up becoming a pretty fun little mini game of its own.

  • 500 Male first names

  • 500 Female first names

  • 2500 Nickname prefixes

  • 3000 Nickname suffixes

  • 1000 Surnames

500 x 2500 x 3000 x 1000 = 3.75 Trillion Male names.

500 x 2500 x 3000 x 1000 = 3.75 Trillion Female names.

7.5 Trillion total.

The way fighter recruitment works is you select from 3 cards that have the fighters physical attributes. Height and weight actually have an effect on Strength, Agility, Fortitude and Perception. and once chosen, you then get the option to reroll a random name until you find one you like, with no limits, except the timeframe of the entire existence of human history.

If you press reroll once every second, it would take around 235,000 years to see every possible combo.

Anyway, I should go correct my lies on the store page, and go do some actual work to get this thing finished.- uniek

Major update4 Sep 2026Embrace the Complexity OverhaulWhen I built this game I was working on the idea that not knowing all the detail was part of the fun.. My theory was, that it gives players a little bit of wonder around what exactly their fighters are doing, and the opportunity to craft their own narratives around the mechanics of the game.... which I have personally really enjoyed in other games. I also had a little fear of people working out…Gods Shall TrembleGame update29 Aug 2026Tourneys and scrollinghuge updates of some minor UI things no one will probably ever notice.
