Added leaf effect in level 1-2 for when entering bushes and getting out
Added a secret action triggered by repeatedly crouching in quick succession
Hatch Flap title now says “DEMO” instead of “1.0” to represent the build better
Removed the Discord choice in the Title*
*This is because I do not plan on managing a Discord server and I prefer to centralize my efforts in one spot, such as YouTube (for trailers and such) and Steam.
Added an ending to the Demo
Hatch Flap will now remain in your Wishlist even if you got a key or the demo installed, which wasn’t the case previously
On single player, both flamingos goes into a pose when collecting the wing at the end of a level instead of the main player only
Backing out in menus now doesn't go to the THUNDER CANDY logo, it quits the game
Added a few new prompts to avoid quitting certain menu or the game accidentally
Added a notification when collecting an object (like a fruit), detailing the reward
Added more words for comprehension (English only for now)
More obstacles can be kicked instead of simply ignoring the kicks
Added codex progression on your save file in main menu
Fixed music not resuming after colliding with a checkpoint
Fixed music resuming too early when unpausing during checkpoint animation
Ruby now counter attacks if you are too aggressive (You cannot extend a combo a do a full bar health damage anymore)
Ruby can now do a special attack: Sparkly Arc*
Sparkly Arc allows Ruby to throw gem stones in the air and make them chase you
Unpausing while having an instrument no longer resumes the music
*The reason the Ruby was buffed again was to make it an actual challenge because as of right now, the ruby can be one shot by a continuous combo.
Fixed music not playing after ending banana fight in 1-2
Fixed music not playing while in banana fight in 1-2
Fixed Paizou Miel-Zoo not attacking at all
Here is an approximate completion of my tasks before demo launch
Sound [10%]
Some sound will not work, or be empty.
Adding sound is the very last step before completing the demo
Music [100%]
The music has already been done, and then some!
Programming [90%]
A few tweaks and bug fixes, nothing too complicated
Drawing [90%]
This one is a bit more complex, but most obstacles are done and satisfactory.
A few more drawings would be certain additional prompt in the menu, obstacles or additional effects added along the way
Testing [50%]
Every time something new is added, it needs to be tested;
single-player,
co-op,
with this option or that option on,
after dying once,
or swapping players,
while in a certain state, etc. etc.
With the new graphics and sounds loading, I need to ensure it is loaded properly on Windows or Linux and no matter how a person reaches a certain room. Currently, some sounds do not load because they’re not loaded properly in memory or don’t unload the way I want to.
