Update v0.20260905.10 — Shield Hammer & Gun Buffs, Weapon Traits

Beast Market · published

What changed at a glance

Based on combat simulations and player feedback after v0.20260905.8, we have adjusted weapon balance, Legendary Resonance, and the value of Stun, Paralysis, and part breaks. Strong weapons were not nerfed; less-selected weapons were raised instead.

  • Shield Hammer: Attack for all 23 weapons, including starter, squad, and T1–T4 weapons, is now 1.6× the previous value.
  • Gun: Attack for all 23 weapons is now 1.3× the previous value.
  • All six weapon types: Each now has an always-active weapon trait.
  • Legendary Resonance: Reworked into 18 independent abilities across six lineages.
  • Down windows: Stun, Paralysis, and part breaks now directly create bonus-damage opportunities.

Shield Hammer Attack: 1.6× at every tier

This is not “+60 Attack.” Each weapon’s previous Attack value is multiplied by 1.6. All 23 Shield Hammers are included.

  • Starter Shield Hammer: 83 → 133
  • Magma Tortoise Shield Hammer (T1): 116 → 186
  • Honed Tidal Leviathan Shield Hammer (T2): 225 → 360
  • Apex Tidal Leviathan Shield Hammer (T3): 305 → 488
  • Nightmare Glacial Worm Shield Hammer (T4): 400 → 640
  • Squad Shield Hammer — Apex: 107 → 171

Its trait also grants 10% incoming-damage reduction, +40% Stun buildup, and +30% Exhaust buildup.

Gun Attack: 1.3× at every tier

This is not “+30 Attack.” Each weapon’s previous Attack value is multiplied by 1.3. All 23 Guns are included.

  • Starter Gun: 110 → 143
  • Shadow Serpent Gun (T1): 154 → 200
  • Honed Eclipse Wyvern Gun (T2): 300 → 390
  • Apex Eclipse Wyvern Gun (T3): 406 → 528
  • Nightmare Storm Wyvern Gun (T4): 480 → 624
  • Squad Gun — Apex: 143 → 186

The Gun trait treats the physical shot hitzone of hard parts as at least 90%, providing stable damage against parts that normally resist shots. Decimal results from the 1.6× and 1.3× calculations are rounded to the displayed integer.

Always-active traits for all six weapon types

  • Sword: +3% normal-attack damage, including physical and elemental damage; existing Poison/Paralysis/Sleep/Blast buildup +25%.
  • Great Sword: +5% physical damage to weak points and +10% part-break power; no bonus against normal hitzones.
  • Shield Hammer: Incoming damage -10%, Stun buildup +40%, Exhaust buildup +30%.
  • Bow: Part-break power +25%.
  • Gun: Physical shot hitzone floor of 90% against hard parts.
  • War Staff: Familiar adds 10% of total damage, retains half while action-locked, and adds +15% Stun/Exhaust buildup.

You can review these traits under “Weapon Performance Breakdown” in the Workshop and Build screens. See the Weapon Tree Wiki for current values and upgrade paths.

Additional T4 adjustments

  • T4 Great Sword Attack: 590 → 637
  • T4 Sword elemental value: 331 → 380
  • T4 Bow elemental value: 331 → 380
  • T4 War Staff elemental value: 331 → 360

Legendary Resonance is now independent

Resonance no longer adds extra levels to existing skills. It now consists of 18 independent abilities across six lineages, separate from standard skills and Arcanum.

  • Resonance I: two pieces of the same lineage, all at Lv.5+
  • Resonance II: four pieces of the same lineage, all at Lv.7+
  • Resonance III: five pieces of the same lineage, all at Lv.10

Reaching Resonance III activates Resonance I, II, and III together. Full details are available in the Legendary Equipment Wiki.

Stun, Paralysis, and part breaks now create down-damage windows

While a monster is down from Stun, Paralysis, or a part break, attacks receive a base +50% damage bonus.

  • Stun: 8 seconds initially; 15% shorter each repeat, minimum 4 seconds.
  • Paralysis: 7 seconds initially; 15% shorter each repeat, minimum 3.5 seconds.
  • Part break: 3 seconds per broken part.

The hunt log now shows total down-window time, trigger counts, added damage, and estimated time saved. See the Combat Wiki for details.
