WHAT'S IN THIS BUILD

This is v0.25.0, and the arenas are new. Every round now takes place in a

bounded space with its own look, scattered obstacles you can take cover

behind, and — from round 6 — hazards that escalate as you go: destabilising

floor tiles, then discharge pylons that arc lightning between themselves,

then rotating firewall beams. Rounds 21+ get a corrupted arena that glitches

and tears.

The ship also handles differently: it banks and turns into its facing now

instead of snapping around.

HOW TO TELL US THINGS

🐛 Bug Reports — anything broken. There's a button in game (Settings →

About) that fills in a report for you, including any errors it recorded.

Please read the pinned thread first, it takes a minute.

💡 Feedback & Suggestions — anything that works but feels wrong. Balance,

pacing, whether the new hazards are tense or just annoying. This is the

stuff we can't test ourselves.

📋 Known Issues — we keep this current. Check it before reporting.

WHAT WE'RE MOST UNSURE ABOUT

Honestly: whether the bounded arenas are an improvement. They're the biggest

change here and the one we're least certain about. If they feel cramped, or

if the walls ruin how you like to play, we want to hear that plainly.

Same for the firewall beams on rounds 16+ — a hazard that never switches off

is hard to balance, and we'd rather find out now.

See you in there.

The performance work in that release was real, but almost none of it was reaching the game you actually installed — the step that packages the game for release was making the code several times slower to run. That is fixed. If 0.30.0 did not feel twice as fast on your machine, this is why, and this rel…
