Brimir Update (v861)

Thanks to pilgrims who sent in reports, we've fixed several issues. 🙏

🔧 Bug Fixes

  • Fixed being stuck in "First Training" — If you entered the Training Grounds' First Training while already carrying runes, you could neither absorb nor discard the rune, leaving you trapped in the fight. This is resolved, and pilgrims who have already braved
the Sea will no longer be shown the First Training prompt.
  • Fixed death during pause — You could still be killed by an enemy's delayed attack while the game was paused. No longer.
  • Unified Distortion byproduct names — Some Distortion byproducts had names that didn't match their quest descriptions. They now match the actual item names.

⚖️ Balance / Quality of Life

  • Distortion byproduct "bad-luck relief" — Added a soft pity system for Distortion byproducts that stubbornly refuse to drop. The more you fail in a row, the higher your chance climbs — until a drop is guaranteed. (Average rates are unchanged; only the
    unluckiest tail is trimmed.)
  • Retry rules tightened — If you quit mid-battle and resume later, that moment is locked in — including a companion's death. Death carries weight, so you can no longer undo outcomes by retrying. (Retrying immediately within the same battle still returns you to
    its start, as before.)

The pilgrimage to the heart continues.

Wind passes through every hollow and wails, and the place took its name from that sound. Wind was a power with nowhere to go. Its runes lay scattered across Floors 5 and 6, but only a single place existed to spend what they built — so no matter how man…
